Erm when did Genesis go down? I was using it the other day.
As for The Black Box. I'm currently installing The Beast 1.5 for people. Really snappy on the FireTV stick and everything just seems to work. Sub 200mb
So the saga continues.
Phoned and spoke to Steve at Wolverhampton Renault today. Really nice and helpful chap. He went through the diagrams and options and the difference between my car and Knuckles car who has factory Update List stereo is the display. They have different part numbers so...
On second look there seems to be the right colours in the loom that went between the headunit and changer. But that's no use as its not connected on that end
So I'm getting closer.
Got the stereo working with the standard loom and the Bluetooth in. Hooray.
Issue now is that the clock works, but there's no radio display or stalk controls which I believe are both controlled by the yellow plug. My yellow plug looks like this:
And the 197 with...
So the LED fitting kit turned up from partsulike. I actually ordered the kit that included number plate bulbs too BUT they don't account for the vanity lights. So I've fitted them there instead and will order 2 more bulbs for the number plate.
Apologies for the grainy phone image.
Recaros +...
LV will actually allow it. You can have a main driver who isn't the policy holder. When I first started driving it was £3k + for me to insure a 1 litre 3 cylinder corsa. Put the car in my dad's name, policy in his name and me as the main driver saw that drop to £1700. Granted we were able to...
I knew which cylinder the misfire was on by looking at the spark plugs. Any causing a misfire will be black rather than the brownish colour they should be. When an injector goes bad it tends to leak rather than stop adding fuel all together so you end up with a black plug. Once you know which...
Civic is 100% the better daily. Much more modern. 197 is the more "fun" car.
It all depend what you're looking for I suppose, if you want to release some cash from the car and get something not too dissimilar in power and spec then it's doable.
I'd love to try one as a track car tbh, they look like a riot. I'm not sure I could have one as a daily, I don't like the look of them all that much, think they look very "soft". I won't say girly because I drive a clio but you know what I mean.
I always thought the opinion was the other way...
Use mine for Twitch, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix. As great as Kodi is I'll never replace paid services with it. If it's on Netflix or Amazon Prime (which I pay for purely for the postage so you get video free) then I'll watch it there every time. Same with Sky HD too. But if it's...
I can be. But there are so few pins and they are all going to carry the same voltage. Plus I can't find a proper wiring diagram anywhere so I'll just be pulling wires and seeing what I'm left with.
If I've got the energy tomorrow I'm going to look at splicing the connectors. I'm thinking that if I get power and controls working on the "headunit" then I might be able to get the rest of the cables swapped from the xcarlink and then get both working.
I'm guessing that the audio wiring to...
Meant to post about that. Basically the CD changer is the headunit and the stereo is under the seat. Xcarlink plugs into the CD changer port so you lose all of the headunit controls. Going to have to find another way.
Want my xcarlink for a little less than new cost?
Yes. It was either get an R27 with recaros standard but absolutely no options or get something with projectors and or climate and retrofit.
Luckily this had xenons with the cornering lights AND climate so it was a massive bonus. Seats were easy enough to fit apart from the fact I've got the...
Yeah spaced and lowered a bit and they just look so chubby and mean.
As for the spoiler, in starting to like it. I thought my parents would hate it but everyone who has seen the car so far loves it. I'll give it a bit before I make my final decision, unless someone with a deep black GT or...
I paid £800 for the seats and £190 for the wheel. The wheel was brand new but had been bought by someone who planned to fit it to his V6 then decided against it so sold it on. Believe you can get them for £200 normally.
The seats were collection only but luckily I was staying at Robs the...
So after fitting the new wheel I took the car for it's alignment. I always use a place local to me called Drury Lane Services. They know what they are doing, the place is nice and clean and everyone is really friendly.
So on the ramps it goes (this angle is one of the worst for the spoiler)...
