Haven't even thought about it tbh.
I'd want decent money for it as I'm not desperate to get rid of it and it's got recaros, climate and xenon's which was damn near impossible to get hold of (I retrofitted the recaros as it was the easiest of the lot to retrofit).
To be honest with you I'm bored of it. I go away the first week in October and I'll be looking to replace it with a mk5 golf gti when I get back.
The car is so so much fun, it's more planted than a 1*2, sounds better, is comfier, looks better but I just don't get to enjoy it like I want to...
Yeah it would. The yellow plug is for the stalk controls as far as I'm aware and it's the same as what you'd get in a non CD changer setup.
As for the aerial I've bodged mine and it's come loose. I'm going to get a proper one fitted and made up at some point.
Thing is, with the 197 they usually display something on the dash like "steering not locked" or "card not detected.". Is there nothing like that showing?

Figuring out why it won't start after a refit isn't too difficult at all so I wouldn't worry about that one.
Fitting the engine itself isn't too hard either, just requires the right tools and patience. It's a simple case of methodically taking it all apart and noting it all down, then reverse...
Ed's gaz coilovers used to knock on his E21. It is seen as normal for them in the e21 scene and there's nothing can be done.

Dude they are completely different and they are both DIY jobs. Not sure if there is anything on the market though.

They run like s**t cold. They really do.
I'd say 160 is a SERIOUS overestimate on cold. I get out dragged by the wenches 1.2 corsa ltd edition.

£5 for general public?
In our industry we pay £14,000 for an electronic link and £2.50 per reg to get the most recent keeper details back in 24 hours. Or no up front cost and £2.50 a go but 6 week turn around.

I know this isn't exactly what you're after but coming from a 172 with DS2500's and braided lines into a 197 with standard brembo pads and standard lines, and it being a heavier car the stopping force is far superior.
Do want to try DS2500's braided lines and some good quality fluid in this though.
As f**king obvious as that sounds I've never thought of explaining it like that. Whenever someone says "that's a lot of money for a phone" I always end up saying something daft like "well I use it for everything". Suppose most people wouldn't flinch at the thought of spending £700+ on something...
Rears look great because you've got a black insert across the boot lid and not chrome. Think it needs the front grill trim swapping for black. Car looks a bit of an emo at the minute lol.

Say your alternator died on the way and was barely charging the battery. It's then not got enough charge left in it to start anymore next time you come to it.
Changing the battery and you'll be fine, but chances are it is the alternator.
Also just to scare yourself have a look at the issues I had with my 197 earlier this year and the f**king disgusting issue I had with corroded can wires.

The brodit proclip is a specific setup that you get based on what car and what phone you have.
The clip is based on the car
The holder is based on the phone.
You can get the holders with no charger, a cigarette lighter style one or with bare wires that you can hardwire into your car.

I'm using a brodit proclip with the inbuilt charger. Just ran it through the dash and piggybacked off the cig lighter.
