Nothing much happening with this lately, it does need 2 new front tyres so will probably go for rainsport 3s as I have heard good things about them.
I cracked my sump, which has now been repaired but might look into raising the car, still need to fit my abs ring and refit exhaust as its...
So been working on the 106 for the last couple of weeks, fitted my satchshift, 1.2s, R888s, spacers, stud nut kit, new bucket seats and harnesses, new rad and a new driveshaft.
MOT in the morning, fingers crossed it passes because my landlord has said I can't work on the 106 on the drive...
I know last year there was a cliosport track day at llandow, was just wondering if there would be something similar this year?
I don't use my Clio on track but possibly would if that's all that's allowed.
Best Clio out there in my opinion, from looks to the parts it just works well.
Hopefully I'll bump into you at a Trackday at some point, would love to see it.
Good tyres and good working brakes is all you need.
Also keep an eye on tyre pressures and check the tightness of the wheel after each session, You might be surprised by how warm the tyres.
Not read the whole thread.
Llandow is £95 a day, I know there have been cliosport days before, not sure if they would discount it for a club but I think it would be a really good day. Although I wouldn't track my Clio I'd take my other car for that.
I was thinking about your splitter, if you out a load of self rappers relatively close together the length of the bumper, it may help to stop it getting caught and come of so easily?
French car show on saturday just gone was great.
Didn't actually take any pictures of my car, but here's 2 that others took. On freshly refurbished alloys, nice bright silver, look well.
Also the coilovers seem to be raceland ones. So they will be replaced at a later date. Not sure with...
Will look well on the 1.2s!
I got a set im currently respraying for my GTi and I'm a bit gutted that the Clio and 106 don't share the same pcd as I think they'd look great on the 182.
Considering this 5 minutes from my front door. I'm in and 1st August is great for me.
Will be in my Clio, but if we need to make number up I'll bring my 106 GTi as well as I would like that done. (Will get my dad to drive the Clio if I do this)
Have a few mates who might be interested in...
F1s are off for a refurb tomorrow so popped the curbed 182s on until they come back. They're gonna stay silver.
Also had a look at the coilovers can't see any markings on them, anyone have any idea?
