Sorry, was getting mixed up. Going off the Laguna gt it's a smaller turbo, smaller injectors, map, think cams are the same and people will say compression ratio is different. Apparently when I was looking into them it's meant to be slightly higher cr, think 9.5:1?
a lot of the time problems are down to a bad connection, the terminals end up a bit loose so you can de-pin them and nip them up but there are a lot to do if you want to go over a full loom!!!!
you can get the pipe for the 172 carbon canister and use that. also if you change the ends they are a push fit, seen plenty messed up with heating the pipe.
i knocked it on the head in the end, for the time involved in doing it and then dealing with the existing connectors and sorting them out it wouldn't be cost effective. got three cars to do and they are all going for cartek pdp, just managed to sort good prices out on them. cost of the unit will...
Get the best one you can find, makes them so much easier. I got a long arm one but if I'd known how much I would of ended up using it I would of gone for a ratcheting one instead.
Had an interesting conversation with one of the guys from sadev about stripping and lapping new joints in etc, made sense what he was saying about not wanting them on the tight side, expansion, forcing grease out etc...
my bad, thought it was one of the cable ones. as it's for the jc5 etc then i'd say overengineered, handy to fine tune the stops but in the real world not really needed.
