No worries. I lucky had a ramp in a workshop, so it wasn't too bad, it's just the messing around setting it up to ensure you can select all the gears. Not noticed any more noise/vibrations, but it's early days and the cars stripped out anyway.

I really rate it, but it's still early days. It does take a little setting up to get it right, if your local to me, your willing to take the car for a spin to help you make up you mind! :)

Another weekend, another update!
Got some 5mm spacers for the rear, definitely makes it look slightly more aggressive, which I like
Before
.
After
Also bought a new pms shifter. When arrived:
And fitted:
The shifts feel so much better and precise and the higher position is really nice...
Absolutely stunning car! I keep looking at these, but it would mean chopping in both my daily track 182 and garage queen 46 M3. Might have to find a local one and take it for a test drive!
A friend bought a 530D which he thought had 170K on it (that's what was showing anyway)... after checking the MOT history, it had been clocked about 4 times and had around 500K on it... LOL
... it may well of had a new engine and clocks wound back to match, but it had little history. Either way...
Cheers for all the kind words guys.. early finish from work on a Friday meant I got a chance to fit some more bits today.
Started off removing the dash and taking out the passenger airbag
Removed the clocks and fitted the colour coded bezzle
Refitted the dash and added the new colour coded...
Bit of an update.
Managed to get the front calipers on, with new discs and DS2500 pads... then I got carried away! Also fitted:
- new wishbones and ball joints
- poly bushed rear trailing arm bushes
- new genuine rear discs and pads
- front and rear braided lines
Pictures aren't brilliant, but...
Thank you all for the kind comments!
Agreed the CSL parts really transform/modernise the look of the car... not bad for 15 years old!
While the running costs are not exactly cheap, there reasonable for what once was a circa £40K car. As I've already mentioned, the preventative maintenance has...
Yeah, can understand your predicament, lucky this one had been looked after with all the preventive maintenance done (subframe reinforced, vanos units replaced etc.) Now would be a good time to buy, as it seems the good ones are slowly rising in price

Thank you! They're truley awesome cars. They don't do anything particular amazingly, but do everything really well, just a solid all round car.. if that makes sense? Haha

Cheers, they've aged so well!
Thank you!
Cheers!
:)
It came with clears, but thought it looked strange.. the smoked depos makes the headlight and inicators one unit.

Thank you :)
Cheers, as soon as I saw it I knew, was at the upper end of the market price, but has all the nice toys and all the preventative maintenance done, which is reassuring. Ended up travelling from the Salisbury to near on Newcastle to get it!

Thank you, my personal favorite too!
Yes, had to get a manual, I test drove the SMG but couldn't get on with the gearbox!
Thank you
Thank you. Would love them, but wrong time of the year.. hoping to get the 182 track ready before I start splashing on the BM, cheers though!

Sat at home on this dull, rainy afternoon reminiscing of driving the M3 back in summer.
Purchased back in April 16, this is my 2nd M3 after jumping back and forward between these and Clio 182's, finally the man maths justification has aloud me settled for both.
The cars been stored away for...
Currently having the same problem...! The multicar quotes are coming in at the double the price of individual policies, with one policy have no NCB.
Good luck in your search, I see you're from Bournemouth, I'm only down the road (Salisbury) and currently building a road/track 182 :)
As above, it all depends on what you're after. B14's are an excellent road coilover, or if you're after shocks / springs, I would suggest Sachs front dampers, koni adjustable rear with mark fish or cooksport springs.
Cheers mate. Paid £300 + paint for the spoiler, also came with genuine shorter struts, found it browsing ebay and could resist!

Another update to keep pictures etc in here.
Subframes arrive and have fitted one seat (drivers). Yet to fit the passengers due to hopefully getting the interior sprayed black soon. I'm on x-low frames with corbeau clubsports (including runners), I'm 5'11 and really happy with the seating...
Cheers mate. Got it really hot with a heatgun and used a standard scraper to remove it. The whole car will take a good few hours though.
