Not necessarily, sometimes it’s possible to manually enter the details without the reg number, which may have caused the (incorrect) import marker, it does happen sometimes. If you read the advert it does explain that it’s a UK car...
The Ohlins are a lot more compliant, you don’t get any of that harshness or crashiness. The actually did a video comparing the two. Admittedly it was a sponsored video but does demonstrate the difference.
Fantastic car and thread! Glad you didn’t part ways with the car after the engine trouble, although would have been understandable.
A liquid yellow F1 edition just looks so right!
Interior looks fantastic, agree it should have come from the factory like that. Can I ask who did the re-trim?
Cheers
What’s going on with the coolant? Looks really low on the first pic, and almost orangey in colour, then in the last pic, full and a luminous green (the correct colour)?
Added a rear brace and removed my rear seatbelts for that ‘Clubsport’ look. (I know the brace doesn’t do anything, but always liked that R26R / Mini GP look...)
Agree, top work!!
I want to get my 172 Cup to the same standard!
which bonnet catch did you go for? Seen some cheap ones on eBay, any good?
Keep up the good work!
Cheers
Just read this thread from start to finish. As a fellow 172 Cup owner, I'm glad you're keeping it, right decision IMO.
Love that last photo, looks so good!!
I had several 205 GTi's back in the day, and still kick myself for not keeping one of them!! I won't make the same mistake with my Cup...
