As said above, it changes your power band.
Instead of the VVT 'kick' at 5k RPM on an N/A 1*2, a boosted 1*2 will build torque and power from much lower in the rev range. Depending on a lot of variables of course like who size of the turbo, who mapped it, what purpose it's been made for etc...
Jesus, wasn’t expecting flak for trying not to get my seats bogging every time I hop in and out in my grubby clothes.
It won’t be on all the time... in fact, it’s such a bad/loose fit that I doubt it will stay on even if I wanted it to.
Received mine today and fitted it to the car.
I've only been for two short drives in the car and both times it has came off when I was getting out and I'm not a large guy. Am I missing something or are they really that loose a fit? I'm going to have to stitch some elastic to the back of it to...
Same process as the interior. I did give it a little wipe with tar remover first though and let it dwell for a while. Not sure if it helped or not though.
I need a single speedline turini and the mk3 clio GT ones have the same PCD and according to some sites they're ET38 also. Doe's anyone know if that will fit a 1*2?
I've seen folk lacquering them when I was researching how to solve it. I done this a few weeks ago to all the plastics in the car (and the rear wiper surround) and i've just been giving them a wipe when cleaning the car and there's no marks/grime on them yet.
As with all these cars, the buzz from the climate control fan in the roof light was bugging the s**t out of me. So I removed it following the guide and cleaned/greased it.
After I plugged it back in, it wasn't working. The silence was golden.
Will this affect anything? My fan/AC still works...
Don't worry, I get you. My mrs doesn't understand why I spent a fortune on my 106 Rallyé when it only leaves the garage to go to MOT lol.
Best of luck with the car man, make sure it's well locked up away from prying eyes.
It's an old trick used on motorcycles but works for cars too. I had to do it after I had my 106 rallyes head skimmed and I was afraid of the valves hitting the piston crown.
A light spray of some lube (wd40 or whatever) on top of the putty helps to stop it sticking to the valves and makes it...
Put some putty/plasticine on the dome of the piston and rotate the crank. Then measure the thickness of the putty afterwards. This should let you know roughly how much you can take off the head before the valves come in contact with the piston domes.
I'm going for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's I think. I have Pilot sport 2's on the car at the minute but cant bring myself to spend £120 a corner.
It's that or stick with the tried and tested rainsport 3's for half the price.
I love her wee Polo GTi for the commute. It's a DSG and has a revo stage 2(215-230bhp / 300ft/lb) map. It's nice to have buckets of torque from 3k rpm compared to my Rallye and 172 which you have to wring the neck off to get to go anywhere. I'm getting a bit old to be passing people on the...
I've a x5930k at the minute and my last 4 CPU's have been Intel but I think if I was building a new rig it would be hard to ignore the Rizen performance - £ ratio.
I had a 3570k previously and when I changed to a x5930k I honestly didn't notice much difference. The biggest differences came from...
It did look a bit 'Old man went crazy in Halfords' before but now it looks purposeful and damn mean!
A nice number plate would finish it off in my opinion. Or at least a smaller plate on the front.
That's insane. I wonder how many end up on ebay lol. AMD really need to dig the finger out in the GPU market. The grasp Intel has at the moment is crazy.
16 years for mine, although I've a suspicion that the reason they're making a racket is because someone has had them off before and hasnt mounted them correctly.
Ah great tip on the ball joint puller, I've one in the toolbox but usually just pry wipers off, that said I've never tried to remove them on a Clio before.
The joy of 18650 battery cells, when they get discharged too much they have a tendency to vent. With most of my battery powered tools, once they start to show signs of losing power, I put the battery back on the charge. Don;t keep using and using it until it physically won't work anymore.
I...
