I only use Samsung drives after a few failed SSD's from other brands.
They're fine for data storage, I've a 500gb for storage (games) and a 120gb M.2 for a boot drive. Pretty perfect setup imo.
No offence taken man, we have a reputation for a reason lol. Albeit, not all of us are that way inclined. I'd do anything for an easy life.
Exactly. Some people like to chance their arm. Tell him that you're sorry that it happened but it's nothing to do with you anymore, and if he wishes to...
Also, you're well within your rights to tell him to do one. It was a private sale and the damage was unknown to you previously.
I had a friend buy a Impezza from a questionable guy, everything checked out, paid cash and on the way home (giving it a bit) it blew the engine. The previous owner...
Aye, I'm Irish, hence the 'at least that's how it goes over here' line lol. Everybody knows someone over here and it just isn't worth making enemies over trivial matters.
Always meet people away from your house when making a sale. I often do it outside police stations or on garage forecourts...
Don't be too rude about it if you see this geezer about quite often. He sounds like the type that wouldn't think twice in damaging your property if he was pissed off.
Did you meet him at your house for the sale? Just look after yourself first, it's easy a load of forum people telling you to...
You don't have to use easystart, brake cleaner etc does the job just as well. You're only spraying a minute amount around the seals to see is there's air dawing in anywhere.
My usual way to find airleaks is to spray a little easy start around the areas I think may be leaking and see if it effects the rev's. Haven't tried it on a clio though, usually on bikes and older cars.
B&Q do a stone grinding kit for a regular drill, £4.99 and some engineers blue (marker) £1.50.
Set the gaskets over the ports, mark the excess metal with the engineers blue and then go nuts with the grinding stones. A couple of hours will port the inlets upper and lower. Just grind them out to...
Ahh! I've a mate coming from Newy on wednesday to stay with me for a fortnight, I reckon a bumper would have been a bit big to fit in his luggage though :P
I tried just plugging an ESP switch into my non-ESP 172 and it did nothing apart from light up.
You don't happen to have another rear bumper in iceberg do you?
When I purchased my 172, some prat had put 'limo' tints on all the windows. They were so dark that the rear view mirror was useless. Needless to say, they were ripped straight off as soon as I got home.
I took my time and used a heatgun and some tar remover but since then, the rear demister...
As you're one of only a few active members who've done the conversion, if you get 10 minutes, would you mind making a list of the parts you required?
I've searched on here high and low and there's minimal information on the swap, and I think this is the route I want to go in the future. F4RT...
My mrs had ZV7's on the front of her polo (220 lb/ft) and they were decent in the dry but pretty dangerous in the wet and they have horrendous road noise. I swapped them out for rainsport 3's recently and they were much better for the same sort of price.
I was out yesterday trying to solve my noisy wipers. I noticed that my scuttle seal sits off the window about 5mm in the bottom NS corner. Someone has silconed it to the window previously but I'm wondering how this was attached from factory?
I have the little push pin clips in either side, yet...
His machining on the bridgeport was pretty impressive. I would have never came up with a solution like that for an alternator set up.
Strange how we all thought the same thing regarding the wiring. I didnt think they would have fed it through the body cavities without wrapping it in loom tape...
That looks too good to use on track! It's how I'd love my 172 to look eventually.
If you're going to consider cutting the rear bumper, please don't. I'll gladly pay for it and I'll send you one already cut.
I don't think 4k is too much to the right person. The only way you'll find out is stick it on PH/Autotrader/Ebay and see if you get any serious interest.
Don't hold your breath. Rockstar said it wasn't coming. At least when GTA5 was released for PC a couple of years after console, they announced it was always coming.
That said, I really hope they do.
Has anyone tried one like this^? This one is £65 (https://www.wearelikewise.com/collections/extensions/products/the-suzuka-direct-thread) You can find similar on eBay for around £20.
Common on modified Japanese cars but it may cure clio gear stick issue. I know I'd love mine to be further back...
The glue spot ones aren't bad for small jobs, for sharp pointy dents you will really struggle. I've watched a local dent guy do his magic and it certainly isn't as simple as he makes it look. I've removed a few soft (someone ran up one of my bonnets) dents with a heatgun and a bag of ice...
