In general, the rotrex isn't great reliability wise and don't last long at all. I've had 2 x 240/250 Bhp and a 330 Bhp one and it would definitely be more than a second.
You need to reset main box connection to wired too as it won't work reliably, go to advanced network settings and choose hard wired connection, when asked if you have a Sky Router ALWAYS select no whether you have or not. Then do your mini boxes

Same dish just different LNB on the end.
If it's a new build your fine to put a dish, it's just in your terms so the houses look nice until others are finished.
From the last 6 months and my knowledge;
Sony are the leaders at the moment and they've been behind for a while but I'd recommend the Sony.
Hisense are a steal, they are also the company that bought Loewe who are a massive premium brand, similar level to B&O. They are actually good screens...
TV then Help did this on the old remotes ;)
If it's wifi it won't work very well mounted sideways we've found. IR is fine you just point to the wall the side it's on or face it up to the ceiling.
When we mounted behind a TV with the router 2 metres away it just did not work at all.
I've never scratched my pain either and it gets put in holes in the ceiling, covered in plasterboard dust, dropped and it's always fine.
With a watch though it's always going to hit stuff when putting hands in small holes and AV racks too I think.
