I went with Milltek despite quite a slagging from some who clearly had problems. I felt it was the 'heart' option to the sensible k-tec which only gets good reviews.
1) july 2010
2) 4th august, done 3k miles with it
3) very happy, sounds great. Needed a pretty large socket in the exhaust...
IIRC all 172s and non-cup 182s are et38.
I was searching for similar pics recently while debating 15"s with winter tyres. I think 15"s on sportlines will give a similar arch gap to 16"s on stock springs.
Have a good search for 'meet' threads like FCS and Trax, seem to turn up better pics than...
Most people will have 15" 2118s so unlikely to be riding at stock height, unless they've go a serious rally theme going on!
et45 is the correct offset for a 182 cup/ with cup suspension pack.
Hi, welcome to the world of the clio. You're used to a rattley little french tin car so you should get on fine!
Have a good look round the media section, there's loads of non-sports to give you inspiration as you could go various ways with the looks - OEM super-clean, sports rep, euro, etc...
I solved this on mine recently, for me the issue was a missing bolt. There's a removable flap in the plastic sill trim you step over, under which should be one of those metal loops - same as under the seat or in the boot - bolted to the sill. Mine was strangely missing on the drivers side...
That stuff in the ad looks exactly like the 2 cans i got with my 182. Did nothing when i had to use them though admittedly the puncture was right on the shoulder of the tyre.
I replaced mine with holts which did a sterling job when needed (this time for a nasty gash in the sidewall)
RAC...
Didn't make it clear, i swapped over the (filfthy) upstream sensor with the downstream one. Immediately seemed to run better, less lumpy, more grunt. Not sure it'll affect the mpg knowing how heavy my right foot is but we'll see!
Sorted a couple of problems today, best of all it was (almost) free!
First up new exhaust mounts hadn't sorted my milltek issue, they seem to sit too far right so the good old socket fix solved a rattle that was driving me mad.
Next got her up on stands to have a go at swapping over the...
Right sorted. Thanks for your quick replies but i found the easy way!
Wheels were off anyway so lying with my feet out the front i got my left hand in where the near side track rod comes out, much better with 2 hands. Also realised after looking at the downstream sensor that the clip slides to...
How on earth do i unplug the upstream lambda sensor????
Car is up on stands, i've got both sensors removed from the exhaust but there' s no way i can get my hands in from underneath to lift the tab and pull the plug - am i missing something?
For little monies colour code the door handles, stubby aerial, 3/4 front plate (stuck on not screwed). Get rid of the nipple ring. Good effort so far tho, looks lovely and clean
Me too! seen you by the west station a couple of times as i drop my gf at work. yours sits really nicely. Always good seeing another RS clio on the move
Sorry to drag up an oldish thread but was just wanted to say DON'T get the Tesco flat ones. Burn a tenner (or more usefully put it toward some bosches).
Absolute rubbish- streaky in the middle of the blade and drivers side doesn't touch at the outside edge, a problem cos the French didn't swap...
