Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

Thanks @bloke , I'm going to get one ordered from ECP today all being well. Will the warning light go out straight away after replacement or does it take a few miles before it'll go?

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

Then a bit of a nightmare really. I was all set to use the car for the presents run on Christmas day tomorrow (and show my dad the car for the first time), I went and fuelled up from the Tesco but while in traffic on the way home the engine light has come on. I've had the ODB2 scanner on it and...

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

We'd bought some little domed sparco sticker things for the subframes, I think they look pretty decent for an eBay cheapo buy. Then a few more pictures of the seats in the light:

I've just bought some wheels from @cs_dave so I'm quite excited! Hopefully I can get them fitted before heading back into work in the new year

On second thoughts the ECU controls all of the locking etc... doesn't it?

    Bucket seat runner bolts

Here's my stupid question thread from a few weeks ago  as well as my progress thread with the car, which shows fitting is possible even for a complete novice haha!

    Bucket seat runner bolts

I did mine at the weekend and had some good help from here. I didn't use side mounts though, just runner and subframes. Are you fitting two seats and do they both have runners? I had to drill additional holes in one of the subframes and the holes didn't match up to the location of the fixings...

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

That's very kind @GrahamS , thank you for the offer. How much do you charge if you don't mind me asking? I'll have a look to see if I can find a spare ECU to buy and send over - I need to keep the car on the road for a few weeks really and it'll be handy to have a spare anyway

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

Cool, I'll have to give it a look. Is there a guide on how to use it on here? I'm sure there's lots of snippets so may give it a go. I imagine it'll come in handy for plenty of other issues that will crop up as well. Are the clone's ok?

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

I haven't gone a copy. Is it something that you run on a computer or something that's on some other device? I'll have to have a look to see if I can find anything, unless you know where I can get it? :)

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

I probably should have done and will have to. I went for a drive after fitting the seats (the cars not moved for a month so it's rude not too) and the service and airbag light came on. I guess one to the resistors has come loose. Maybe reconfiguring would be the way to go, I'll just have to...

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

The seats are in, they're the worlds worst pictures but it was going dark and properly foggy! It took a lot longer than expected but I'm very happy with them. The seats do sit high with them being on the 'higher' Sparco subframes (and Sparco slider rail), but there is just about enough...

Stupid Bucket Seat Fitting Question - Bolts

Thank you for the offer, the buckles have arrived today so i'll try and fit them at the weekend and see how I get on. I'll certainly give you a shout if I need a couple of brackets making

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

Still not a lot of progress, but a little more. I'm still waiting for some fixings otherwise I would have been good to go. Thank you to @bloke and @iamjoel for the help in another thread I've posted up. All being well I should be able to get the seats fitted by next weekend (if everything turns...

Stupid Bucket Seat Fitting Question - Bolts

Spot on, thank you kindly for the photographs. I'll have a look and then report back if I can't figure anything with the OEM belts. I've got a feeling that I'll be buying some Saxo buckles the same. Thanks again

Stupid Bucket Seat Fitting Question - Bolts

Cool, thank you. I'm going to head over to the car this afternoon so will have a look at doing something like that. I'm sure I can pick up a couple of them for a few quid. Have you got any pictures of how you've mounted them at all please?

Stupid Bucket Seat Fitting Question - Bolts

Awesome, thank you kindly for that. I've just ordered some of the 35mm so I can use the existing nuts. Does anyone have any ideas on how to mount the oem buckles to the subframe? Is it just a case of drilling a whole and going for it?

Stupid Bucket Seat Fitting Question - Bolts

Hi all, I'm being stupid and not finding a lot of information on the bolts that I need to buy to fit the Sparco bucket seats and sub frames into my 182. The only things I can find seem to mention different sizes so I thought I'd just ask to make sure. I've ordered these fixings for attaching...

It's a small world! I seem to remember talking to you about an old Nova while in the red? I'm pretty sure it was a Nova anyway. Good luck for the rest of the season, I'll have to come and have a look at the car some time!

Thank you for the comments, I'm quite excited as well haha :) I've still not looked at what bolts I require though, too busy working at the moment. Hopefully I'll get a good 10 minutes to figure out exactly what's going on!

Clio 182 - Tidy Up & Track Project

Still no real progress I'm afraid. I came up with more problems than anything else. I tried moving the battery further up the tray only to find that it's all ready all the way in. There's no way I'll be able to relocated the filter until I get a smaller battery. I then started to remove the...

He was going well yesterday, with and without a front bumper! I recognise his name too, I'm pretty sure I used to play rugby with him.
