Saving. Thats what its all about and finding shortcuts like this. Instead of buying a full set, cover your own with a sheet of alcantara. it cost me about £20 to cover the 2 rear door cards, passenger front door card, 2 wing mirror covers and the long bits beside the glass on each side.
Sorry for the delay on these!
Here we go! Not amazing but i like it :) Far better than green!
Now, bear in mind, we are not experts in the slightest, its more or less an experiment and a money saving technique.
Still have the door pull to spray in pearl black to match the door handle...
Well we got it done! Seen that it was plastic welded in and that stumped us a bit but we then decided to unfold the material that was tucked under the edges. Measured up, masked the door card, sprays with glue, place on, flatten down (not easy due to the weird shape), trim and tuck under again...
You have read my mind! Already got the rear door cards done, doing the front tomorrow afternoon! Ill get the pictures up when it's done.
Certinly a Cheap alternative to buying a full set.
That's for the skirts. Don't know of you mean the 'Renault sport' sills on the inside of the door. If its those I just took off all the sticky stuff with a hairdryer and used silicon to hold down the new one.
If you use it as an everyday daily then deffo just normal seats. Apparently buckets hurt after some time. I know a guy selling bits but not the full interior, hes out in the magherafelt direction, i think! I got my sport kit off of him :) I need 30mm spacers to attempt to fill my arch :(
Jesus, that was a fast comment! Cheers bud! All im looking to do now is to lower a touch and sort out that massive arch gap at the front. Maybe sport interior if i see it for sale over here.
So its nearly been a month since i last updated anything so here i go again with a wee update.
No before pictures for these but if you look back in my thread im sure you will see any befores.
If this is your first time reading my thread, please read it all and comment with feedback! All is...
I'm looking a new exhaust for my 1.2 non sport as mine is basically rust heaven and will no doubt go soon.
Are there any half decent exhausts out there that are not too loud but yet can make the car sound just a tad better.
Thanks!
First off, unsure if this is the right place for this but ill continue non-the-less.
I made a rep from my 1.2 and have the 172 ph2 alloys but the front wheels are hiding in the arches big time, im looking 30mm spacers to help this but am now wondering would it just be safer to convert them to...
Sorry for the massive delay on replying mate! Hahaha, I havent been to any of them at all. Ive seen a couple of mk3's in ballymena and 1 in belfast, never a mk2 though, hence why i made a rep :D
Just read through all of this. The best BG on this site hands down.
Its all that alcantara that finishes it off so well and makes it so oem.
Fantastic work you done!
