I was exactly the same. In normal mode, I could barely notice any difference in sound to be honest. In sport, it just gives a slightly more aggressive tone when you accelerate, and a few more pops here and there. It doesn't drone at all from what I remember. I think it just makes them sound like...
Not much has happened with this lately. Losing my job has put a stop to me having too much fun unfortunately. Decided to tick off a couple of jobs this weekend though.
I bought some 200 Cup dampers from RPD a while ago, but only got round to fitting them today:
Also finished sorting the...
Love it! Seeing the topics about them recently has really made me want another one.
Definitely get the mid-box chop done. It gives them so much more personality, without being too much.
I did this with my 172. When I bought it, it had a ktec stealth on it, the one without a centre silencer, and it was bloody awful. I sold it and just fitted a standard system (I think it was a Klarius one) and it was so much better. I had a fatty induction kit, which gave it plenty of aggression...
f**king famous I am :ROFLMAO:
I must say, I'm really not a fan of this whole throttle mapping thing. To me, throttle angle should be directly related to pedal position. I don't really know why someone would want the throttle to be non-linear.
The rules have been around for a while I think. Certainly not new this year as far as I know anyway.
You probably need to take a look and see how much has been changed to fit them. It may just be a case of unplugging them and fitting normal bulbs. I bought a car with them years ago and they...
Yeah it's definitely not good. A sign of the times though to some extent. Budgets in most media outlets have all but evaporated. Ad revenue is getting harder to raise. The website/forum/classified model is getting a bit outdated when you look at the whole influencer/social media/YouTube...
Funny you say about the editorial quality, as I had an interview to be the editor a few years ago. I didn't get it, as they went for a "safe" choice, but it's probably worse than it's ever been. Some of the mistakes make you wonder if some of the writers even like cars!
Was it ever alive in the first place? I've owned over 30 cars and only bought one on PH and never sold one.
To me, it always seemed to attract over-priced stuff, and never had as much choice as the likes of Auto Trader or eBay. I guess it's appealing if you're looking for something really...
It's definitely a shame. I guess they wouldn't get the 2.0-litre through the latest emissions rules, but they could create something very similar with one of the little turbo lumps.
People are so weird about the auto/manual thing. I know a few people (mainly women, it has to be said), who would refuse to drive an automatic car, citing that, "They don't know how", even though it's easier. My missus on the other hand, who has spent most of her life in the Middle East and...
I come across a lot of these in my new-found role, delivering s**t. I think in the month I've been doing it, probably coming across at least 150-200 houses with them, only about two have ever been used to speak to me remotely. Do people actually both checking them?
I thought it was based on the MK2 platform? Is it on the MK3? From what I've seen online, I thought the engine bay looked similar to a MK2 Clio.
I'm sure the engine and gearbox would be easy enough, but it's the suspension that is probably more important in a way.
Well, we're back in lockdown, so I have been having random thoughts 😂 Am I right in thinking that the 2012-2020 Dacia Sandero is based on the MK2 Clio? Does anyone know how closely related they are?
A few years ago, they did a Renault Sandero R.S. for some South American markets, and it had a...
I wouldn't worry about it. There are thousands of cars out there with cotton/gauze type filters that do tens of thousands of miles a year without issue. At your mileage, the amount of time it would take for the lack of filtration to cause serious harm to the engine beyond normal wear and tear...
Passed a house yesterday and there was a Dodge Charger SRT, an Astra J VXR, a Cherokee SRT and a 991 GT3 RS on the drive. Apparently he has a Radical too.
I am clearly failing at life.
Best interview I've seen of him by some margin. He seems very reluctant to talk about himself (which is odd, as most people I know that have had anything to do with him say he's an arrogant fucker), but it was interesting to hear him talking about the cars he likes, and about his career.
Did he have a tantrum or something? I didn't actually see many negative comments about the car, or was some s**t deleted?
That being said, while I know some people like a bit of banter, I'm not sure it's great when people are leaving within a handful of posts. Hardly good for the long term...
Looks alright. Don't mind the wheels to be honest.
Don't think I could have a Transporter either to be honest. They're nice enough, but the whole scene is pretty tragic.
They do seem to divide opinion, that's for sure. I think you either get them or you don't. That being said, I love both the 1*2 and the 197/200, albeit for slightly different reasons. I did find that, when I initially drove a 197 (I had a quick go when my mate bought his), it did feel a less raw...
