I compared my 172 cup to my 182 using my phone as GPS speedo and they had the same top speed in each gear. One gear was slightly different but I decided I'd just made a mistake with that one.
Just you wait until I swap my second extinguisher for nitrous (disguised as an extinguisher) :race:
Can't believe you of all people didn't check the tyres lol, glad you got it sorted.
You definitely pull on me on the straights, my car does still have glass windows and no chopping of interior metal work though.
I think mine made 183 on RS Tuning's rollers which suggests my engine was a bit tired. Although that wasn't the engine I raced with so who knows lol.
Similar has happened to me on here too lol.
I think you're right on the mods front. I know I've not followed the same path lol but tinkering with engines is part of the fun for me. ITBs still to fit lol. Trumpets are hard to resist.
I did wash mine last weekend, first work on it since Oulton...
I think it's great you're giving it a go.
I'd love to have the time to do similar development work but I just want reliability for the moment. I'd be gutted going out and having major issues each time.
If it all works out I'll be sure to copy you lol :)
Any idea what races you're planning for...
Do you know what caused the problem? Interested in if it was just a fault or something to do with the subframe mods.
Looking forward to seeing how all your mods to the front suspension pan out :)
I can't remember your full spec but 11k sounds like a lot to get back. Are you sure you'll get that?
I looked at breaking a real high spec (bodies, cams, iconel valves, engine, gripper+box, shell plus all bits, cage, seats, lots of decent wheels and tyres, etc, etc) clio the other week and...
You need to complete all the circuits for position 1 and 2 and then touch the third wire in for the starter.
I can't remember which is which, I'll see if I still have my notes.
Just unplug the barrel and stick some wires in the plug it will be dead easy with imobilser happy.
There are just the 4 wires I think, corresponding to live and positions 1, 2 and 3. But I would take a multi meter.
It would be even easier to borrow a barrel of someone else tough lol.
Yes, the sleeve to the wishbone - old style anyway.
Mine (old style) said in the instructions that welding was recommended. I didn't initially but the sleeve popped out almost straight away, before I'd even done any hard driving.
I didn't have any problem with my horn. Although I can't really remember any specifics of fitting it, just cut the old plug off fitted two female spade connectors and done.
