Something else to think about is, if they move it back then the front will move away from the A pillars unless they extend it.
I'm not 100% but I think both (moving back and extending) would fall foul of MSA and FIA regs so not motorsport compliant but fine for track days. You'd probably be...
PM BIGASH I'm pretty sure he had to do the same.
Nothing wrong with it as long as it is done properly, so as long as the company you're using know what they're doing it should be fine.
If the OMP cage is FIA homologated it is likely to lose that unless the company doing it re-homologate it...
I'm changing a front wheel bearing on my cup packed 182.
It looks like the bearing will press out of either side of the hub, I've removed both circlips.
Is one way better than another?
Thnaks.
The lower half are interchangeable but later cars have the RS stamped one which is slightly better.
For the top half, the 182 and 172 have different breathing arrangements at the back as you've mentioned.
The 172 ph1 and 172 ph2 have different bolt spacings for the different throttle bodies...
Just spotted a clarification on this in the latest MSA news letter.

It states:

You're not wrong. It is actually worse now...
Yes I think it will go nicely in the clio. Once in, I reckon I'll be able to pull 9g without any fuel starvation issues ;)
In the car - except it is also full of stuff.
:)
The only thing that keeps me going every time I go between my 2 tyre...
Well I have been busy buying things lol.
I have actually only started working on the car this week! I haven't touched it really since last year.
I have some ITBs and am going to get rid of the std loom and ECU. I will have some fibre glass doors from the group buy and I already have a boot and...
Looks good James.
I still a bit of wiring to do lol
Where do you buy your wire from, I have some wiring to do myself and have never needed more than a metre to two before so have just been to halfords!!!
Great news Pete. I look forward to seeing the results of your proper rebuild!
I don't think I'll make the race. I have to go from London to Birmingham tomorrow morning but I don't think I'll have time to detour over to Rockingham.
Which other races are you planning?
That is going to be tight Pete. I guess you'll need mapping time too?
How late can you cancel and still get your money back? With the TT it would be tomorrow (Wednesday)...
Why do people loop the pipes on the std rack after removing the pas?
Does that make it easier to turn or is it just to keep the system sealed/keep dirt out?
Yes but it is a compromised setup. Have a search for russ_16v project thread.
Someone once posted a pic of the DBW ph2 TB actuator hooked up to a set of ITB butterflies.
