    Loose wheel bolts.

Try running a tap through your threads in the hub. Mine were regularly working loose due to 10 years of s**t in the threads.

    Roll cage advise

Something else to think about is, if they move it back then the front will move away from the A pillars unless they extend it. I'm not 100% but I think both (moving back and extending) would fall foul of MSA and FIA regs so not motorsport compliant but fine for track days. You'd probably be...

    Roll cage advise

PM BIGASH I'm pretty sure he had to do the same. Nothing wrong with it as long as it is done properly, so as long as the company you're using know what they're doing it should be fine. If the OMP cage is FIA homologated it is likely to lose that unless the company doing it re-homologate it...

Front wheel bearing - which way to press out?

Luckily I went for outwards as it looked easier lol.

Front wheel bearing - which way to press out?

I'm changing a front wheel bearing on my cup packed 182. It looks like the bearing will press out of either side of the hub, I've removed both circlips. Is one way better than another? Thnaks.

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Nice catch by Sam. I just watched your video too, ouch... Doesn't sound that bad but it obviously was enough!

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

Not forged but had 421s with VVT delete IIRC. I think Mark only said it did about 210-215.

    Omex ecu 700 & loom

As long as it does at least as much as the omex 600 it should be fine.

    Cheapest inlet matching

The lower half are interchangeable but later cars have the RS stamped one which is slightly better. For the top half, the 182 and 172 have different breathing arrangements at the back as you've mentioned. The 172 ph1 and 172 ph2 have different bolt spacings for the different throttle bodies...

How far should my injectors be pushed in?

Me too. Considering where they are on the engine they have to be resistant to a bit of oil/fuel.

    NEW MOT RULES

Just spotted a clarification on this in the latest MSA news letter. http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/SN%2001%202013%20V1.0.pdf It states: Where a vehicle has been extensively modified or converted, certain Reasons for Rejection, such as for components ‘missing where fitted as standard’...

    Yet another race car build...

You're not wrong. It is actually worse now... Yes I think it will go nicely in the clio. Once in, I reckon I'll be able to pull 9g without any fuel starvation issues ;) In the car - except it is also full of stuff. :) The only thing that keeps me going every time I go between my 2 tyre...

    Yet another race car build...

Well I have been busy buying things lol. I have actually only started working on the car this week! I haven't touched it really since last year. I have some ITBs and am going to get rid of the std loom and ECU. I will have some fibre glass doors from the group buy and I already have a boot and...

    Rear Wiper Removal

I tried a proper wiper puller and all sorts it was not budging. I just left it in the end until it became a race car then got the grinder out.

    Rear Wiper Removal

I used a grinder when all else failed. No going back though.

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

Have you got a time table for silverstone yet Tony? Is that with track attack too as I can't see it on their site?

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

Search for sump guards on CS not just this thread and you'll find it fairly easily I think.

BIGASH/FF-Racing X85 Clio Cup Racer Project

Looks good James. I still a bit of wiring to do lol Where do you buy your wire from, I have some wiring to do myself and have never needed more than a metre to two before so have just been to halfords!!!

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Great news Pete. I look forward to seeing the results of your proper rebuild! I don't think I'll make the race. I have to go from London to Birmingham tomorrow morning but I don't think I'll have time to detour over to Rockingham. Which other races are you planning?

Throttle bodies using standard 182 ECU?

They are kind of back. At least James from JMS teamed up with Mike from MWM. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?165-S-amp-MWM

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Didn't realise you had a RR Dan, I thought you'd have to get time on someone else's.

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

That is going to be tight Pete. I guess you'll need mapping time too? How late can you cancel and still get your money back? With the TT it would be tomorrow (Wednesday)...

    EPAS on 172 Cup

Why do people loop the pipes on the std rack after removing the pas? Does that make it easier to turn or is it just to keep the system sealed/keep dirt out?
  27. mark123

    Workshop manuals

The belts have to come off to re-seal rocker cover. You can try just sealing under the bolt heads. That worked on my 182.

    Clio rally car

It is what ian-speedy uses IIRC.

    EPAS on 172 Cup

Nice one Phil. Do you have the part numbers for those two racks?

    ITBs

Yes but it is a compromised setup. Have a search for russ_16v project thread. Someone once posted a pic of the DBW ph2 TB actuator hooked up to a set of ITB butterflies.
