Can you feel the difference with the light fly wheel mate?? I couldn't with mine!
Seriously looking forward to Bedford. Can't wait for some passenger laps in this!
I did a few little more jobbies today.
Topped up the engine oil and checked the gearbox oil level was sufficient.
Emptied and cleaned up the catch tank. The residue inside was disgusting and yellow, like stomach bile!
I also worked out that my front discs and pads lasted me 8500 miles. Which...
Oh are you saying theres 1155s in there now, or that's what you want to put it?
I had read the post as you have just had standard pads put in....
If it's a track only car then try CL RC6 (if you haven't already bought track pads). I've just fitted them in mine :)
I've not done Oulton though...
I've never tried them personally mate so I couldn't tell you.
I used standard brakes on my first ever track day and they weren't too bad. But they did over heat after a couple of laps.
If you've just had new discs and pads put on you could just get some decent track pads, and whack them in...
It will be sufficient but it won't be great. All depends on your driving style, how hard and late you brake, how you cool the car down, how long you let it cool, how hot the temperature on the day is etc.
You could probably cook them quite easily if you are braking hard and late. Just keep...
Why do you 'need' ET35?
Unless you have some fancy brakes?
Any offset will do (unless you have something like big Brembos), I think they only come with two variations anyway though. Mine are all ET35.
Even if they were ET43 though it wouldn't matter, you'd probably just want spacers to make...
I would get 15s. Especially if they are for track wheels with track tyres. Smaller wheels, less unsprung weight, cheaper tyre costs. I have three sets myself.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'is it standard for the 182'. Just make sure they are in Clio fitment and 15"
I finished doing a few small bits to the Clio this weekend. I've put new front discs on, with some CL RC6 pads. First impressions from a road test are that they're awesome, but they squeal like a b**ch!
I also changed over my front shock bolts. The extra width from the slotted washers on the...
You must be Ants mate.
He was telling me a friend of his was having nut issues.
What you'll also find, if using the powerflex bush kit, is that the standard rear nut is too tall. Meaning the nyloc doesn't get breached.
Having this issue with mine, so trying to find a shorter M9x1.0 nyloc nut...
Massive difference mate. Especially in the wet. More so than I could have expected to be honest.
I don't have them anymore, I went for lighter fiberglass Recaros.
My good pal @Ant_Smiggy is looking after them now in his beast.
Thanks, I was quite pleased with them too.
It was more than likely my dad if it was slow haha. Unless we are talking pottering around, which could have been a warm up or cool down lap.
I always do a warm up and full cool down lap every time I go out :)
The hesitation/spluttering wasn't really affecting the performance I don't think.
It would be easy enough to do mate.
Just put something on the throttle bodies to make a mark on the back of the backing plate and place it up. Then start by cutting very small holes and making them slightly bigger and bigger until it all lines up perfect.
I wont be selling mine, not for a...
Another good day at Bedford with Javelin Trackday last weekend. (12th)
Car behaved well and was good fun all day.
A bit more understeer to normal. Which I'd like to try and work out why.
Also a bit of spluttering at times, suspect an injector could be on it's way out, or it could be the...
