Although you say that. My buckets are Recaro SPG Small. I have a 30" waist and they're fine for me. My dad has a 40" waist and can still happily squeeze in them without complaint.
At that price I'd expect them to be properly s**t to be honest!
Probably feel like you've been bashed up every time you get out of it.
Might be better off looking for some better ones, just second hand to cut the cost?
Cheers for the link. They look decent, and Motamec are a good brand, however no mention of being breathable. I'm still not sure whether that's just hype though or actually important. Keep the thread updated with how you get on with them please, rubbing issues and grime protection etc
Mark, with those shock socks. Are they a breathable material?
When I was looking into them, this seemed quite important, so that any moisture which does get inside the cover can dry and doesn't sit there on stuff making it rust more.
Don't let them take the car, not until you've got two separate quotes for the repair yourself.
When they took mine I had to fight to get it back to get a quote else where when they wanted to write mine off. It was a lot of hassle!
Their body shop wanted £3500 for my repair (writing my car...
No issues at all with that mate thankfully. Engine Dynamics found the issue and sorted it nicely. Previous 'specialist' left a bundle of unused OMEX wires curled up with uncovered ends.
Gripper time for you then?
I took Coptood to Brands Hatch yesterday. I was a little bit nervous about passing the noise test as it was the first time trying since the previous issues, but all was good, 85db static.
It was a great day, the weather stayed cool and dry. There was a lot of lovely Porsches (originally a...
I run R1R in the wet (on 15 inch wheels). They are a bloody good wet tyre. I won't ever look at other tyres personally now.
Smaller wheels are lighter and have cheaper tyres. Plus look better in my opinion and help avoid rubbing when fitting coilovers.
I did a full drain on mine the other month with my mate
You can bend and unbend the coolant hose from the block to create a vacuum which sucks out all of the coolant. No need to touch the stat then, apart from bleeding it.
As said, I'd just ignore it mate. If it goes well that's one reason to ignore it. Let alone it having a similar figure to another 182. Let alone comparing it to a 197.
If you want a little bit of piece of mind get it compression tested.
I've got no ducting on mine, just removed the full arch liner and fogs for maximum cold air flow. I do have a small deflector plate onto the discs though.
I have some original cup racer fiberglass bumper brake ducts for sale if anyone wants them. £40.
We have an extensive Swan system in our house. It's very very good. Motion sensor recording, infrared picture at night, records on loop on a hard drive Can look at the cameras from the app.
Just to update this.
Engine Dynamics fixed the issue.
I'm not sure on the specifics, but a load of wires were left looped behind the standard ECU when the OMEX was installed by the previous specialist. ED trimmed back these unused wires and tidied it all up with electrical tape. They also...
