I agree. Going to have a play around with electrics with graham tonight and see if we get anywhere.
Problem is, it's hard to replicate on track conditions. Seemed fine on the road.
My original issue was with the static noise test revving. It kept stuttering when above 4k rpm. So that'll...
Sounds similar to the issue i'm having mate.
Completely fine on full throttle, fine on right corners, but cuts out on left handers unless you're going so slow you have no lean.
We've tested everything mechanical. Injectors, leads, coil, plugs, fuel rail. All seem to work fine. Had the fuel...
I guess we wont know what order the drivetrains will be done in until the day?
Just thinking about when to tell the cousins to get there for.
Just sent over 3x £10 deposits mate. Cheers
Two of my cousins have said they'd like to come, neither have Clios, both have BMWs
Is this allowed?
My friend might even come in his FRS too but not a definite yet.
I'm ready to pay 3 deposits though.
I took the car to Bedford on Saturday (20th) for a track day I had booked ages ago. We were hoping the car might scrape past the static noise test with some new plugs and then I'd be able to enjoy the day. But unfortunately it didn't go to plan and the Clio was back on the trailer by lunch...
It was still a good day :) If you guys weren't there I'd have gone home within half hour of the day starting haha!
Thank for letting me have a little go in the cup!!
I'd like to stick the Porsche on there if possible. I'm assuming they have a way of catering to low cars getting over the rollers.
@GrahamS cup or bmw lol? (I don't think Kelv's car will be ready in time)
@AlexW be good to see what the turbo shows on these rollers compared to EDs!!! Maybe...
Piggy back ECU. Still has the standard ECU running the clocks, central locking etc.
We even removed the shift lift wiring away from the coil wiring just in case there was any interference.
Not sure what fuel trims are @bloke?
Going to phone OMEX back in a min and see if they have any ideas...
I've had a lot of help this weekend from generous friends. @GrahamS came down on Saturday and we spent the entire day in the sun doing jobs on our cars. Graham and @AlexW also came down Sunday morning to try and get to the bottom of my issues.
Long story short and after lots of checks and...
I have been to Brands many times now with the bodies. So nothing has changed since the last few times where I had no trouble with noise at all. That's the annoying thing.
I did an evening at Brands last night. The car felt great and more importantly there were no leaks from the new cooler and rad install.
I did however get black flagged for noise and my evening was cut short. But I was grateful to have even got on track at all after failing the static noise...
You'll need a big cup of tea then!!

I've done it before. The day my clutch died. It's not bad to be honest, makes a change to the normal layout which I've done a silly amount of times now. The hair pin is a little tricky to...
Yeah man come down and bring your helmet if so.
The brackets are Graham's excellent design.
Have fun tomorrow.
Ps thanks for your help with ordering stuff  The plate and lines fit ok at the moment, but when the temp sensor and remote pipes for the pressure sensor get fitted it could...
