say your kerb weight is 1100kg? and you hope to have 140bhp. Thats 140 ÷ 1100. 127bhp per ton. Clio 172 cup making lets say 168bhp, divide that by 1020 and we have 164bhp per tone. So yeah minimal gains considering you wont even get near a standard 172. Not to mention gonna cost atleast another...
Just take the adjusters out mate you'll be pleasantly surprised. what size wheels you planning? 15s help it look low plus better handling and cheaper rubber and less unsprung weight :D
Pic without adjusters in a stripped car so with interior in you'll be lower :P...
prob a good 15/20mm makes the world of difference though. I was same as you put coils on and wasn't happy with the back. Its 100% safe to remove them after all normal springs dont have adjusters do they.
In all honesty mate i really wouldn't waste your money on a remap for a 1.2 the gains will be so minimal its just not worth it, always gonna be a slow car i mean the 1*2's aint exactly quick in the grand scheme of things. If anything i'd strip it will notice more from that than a remap plus its...
3 bolts. Very easy job, only slight difficulty you might find is prying the bj out the hub, just get leverage on it and you'll be away no bother. Get oe ones from renualt or you'll be changing them again in 6months.
I weighed my cup seats when i swapped them for buckets and the drivers was 25kg and passengers 21kg iirc. The seats that went in were 11kg each with subframes and mounts.
If your wanting to keep interior in could always buy some cup seats. The rear bench is particularly light. Fuel rail guard can go to thats a kg or 2(two 13mm bolts and its out, personally think the engine bays look nicer without them as well) The list goes on dependant on how much your willing...
interior out carpets door cards roof lining etc, exhaust system(standard ones way a s**t load). Dont fill the tank on petrol stops lol! i can notice a fair difference from quarter tank to full
Is the ball joint genuine Renault or a motor factors part? The cheap copies barely last any time at all especially if the car has been lowered. As mentioned above could easily be a strut top. But id still say lower ball joint, ARB bushes or track rod, they are the most common offenders.
could be any of them really. Get a beaker bar on everything and get wiggling lol look out and listen for excessive play. My guess is you finished off a bushing or ball joint taking it apart or failed to reconnect the tracking arm to rack correctly because as you will know space isn't great lol...
If you want a inlet manifold id go with the rs2 manifold. But seen as you have bought a aftermarket ecu already get some throttle bodies on it! I imagine ktec racing will probably post to Bahrain. Few others to can try also. Just leave the exhaust manifold the standard 182 one is fine. not even...
Id drain it if I were you! Will run like a piece of s**t and will increase carbon deposition onto spark plugs and inside the combustion chamber. This can cause running problems such as stutters and misses. Not to mention you will be down on power and potentially f**king your engine. Old fuel = bad
Re: Upgrade to Espace (2 Pot) Calipers -> Wich discs ?
isn't it just. Love the way the car handles on lightweight 15s. Gonna give it a try still, sure someone will buy the setup off me if I can't live with the 16s.
Re: Upgrade to Espace (2 Pot) Calipers -> Wich discs ?
Might have to stick the turinis back on and give these a go. I find the standard breaks really suffer from fade after about 20/30mins of hard track use. Keep this thread updated on how you get on and if the improvement is worth while.
Good...
Re: Upgrade to Espace (2 Pot) Calipers -> Wich discs ?
Reckon they will fit under 15s? The 280mm discs and standard calipers already quite a tight fit.
Re: Upgrade to Espace (2 Pot) Calipers -> Wich discs ?
Nice! Very interested in these. Any idea what discs are needed yet? Will it be a straight forward swap on the discs as well as calipers?
Its not to aggressive that mate i've heard a lot worse. If you can live with it i wouldn't worry to much, if not its gonna be trial and error swapping parts im afraid in less it shows up on a diagnostics? You mentioned a misfire on cylinder 3? that what got me thinking injectors. Could try...
