If it were me, id get the decat fitted and see what happens with the light, high chance it wont come on anyway and if it does they turn themselfs off after 5 full cycles(long drives) of the car and will take a while after to come back, then will just do same again. I thing your best bet is to...
Definately source a yozza + decat! they sound biblical, ive absolutely loved every minute of mine! you do get alot of stares though and you do piss alot of people off lol, pretty much untamable and motorways journeys are extremely loud!! but i guess having no interior does'nt help lol :D
You...
50/50 chance of it coming on i think some people get it some don't. My cup loves the decat ELM not once came on for emmissions. Best bet is to buy a bung for the rear slot and unclip the lambda from back and wrap up the loose clip undeneath the car.
You wanna use my rstuner to diagnose engine light ali? You'll prob find it goes off after like 5 decent drives of the car anyway. Or is it feeling down on power?
Silencers apparently don't cost you any performance but i've always been sceptical but then again im no expert.
P.s i heard decatting it will sort the 70mph motorway drone :P
Yozza + decat = biblical sound :D i absolutely love mine wouldnt swap it for anything. Id even go as far to say that if for some reason i couldnt have a yozza id sell the clio lol.
Re: Swaping my 106 track car for 172 cup
Id agree with dave on this one, having also owned a gti and my mate currently owning a saxo vts. It has to be said that the gti/vts shites all over the clio thru corners even when the clio's are modded with coilovers, arb's etc. Id personally keep the...
I think its something like every 7kg you lose is the equivalent to 1bhp, not 100% on this tho. But by that ruling if you can get out about 60kg of weight, which is very possible then you'll be looking at around the equivalent of 8bhp gain :D
Definately worth doing in my opinion, if you can...
There is a fair bit to be lost, i havent weighed everyting i have removed but saved 35kg from just the rear of the car, seats, rear cards, isofix bar etc etc. Plus with yours been a 182 and not the cup you will stand to lose more than that. Front seats weigh an abosolute ton! The cup drivers...
depends if your gonna replace standard front seats with lightweight buckets or not? Are you planning on going full on? dashboard out etc? or just some light stripping?
Not sure if this is right place for this or not, if not can a mod please move.

opinions? Any gains to be had?
Id probably leave the aitbox mate, inless you want some front end growl in which case get a open cone one cos they sound awesome lol. Exhaustg system is a worth while buy, as you'll prob find yours falls off quite soon anyway lol.
will go eventually, i thought mine would never stop! then one day after about 2k miles i just remember thinking 'nice, my brakes dont squeel anymore' lol
Yeah its a yozza :D
Nope don't live there lol.
Pain in the arse to keep clean but worth it, my fav mod on the car i think, added bonus that they only weigh 5.4kg each.
Get back on your girlfriends by the looks of that! £1800 for 10months on a 182 at 27yr old is insane! As for putting a 1k excess, thats a ridiculous idea! If you crash you have paid 2300 for 10months insurance with it set to go up again due to claim!
Buy a 1.2 and get yourself some ncb, or...
Take it to a specialist mate! Id strongly advise you to not let that garage do it! Requires the know how, and special locking tools the garage will not have.
