IMO? Yes..
Is it worth it to you? You'll have to decide.. it may not be.
The new Macbook is about as perfect as Mac as you're going to get.
I loved my MBP, but it was just too big for me.. hence I sold it.. and got a 12.1" Dell instead. The new 13" Macbook seems a good compromise - still...
Because the one on the Apple site at £1100 is the new Aluminum one.
That one above is the old white one, which is £729 inc VAT on the Apple site.
I wouldn't even think about getting the original white Macbook now... the Aluminum one is where it's at!
Yea, that was always the case..
People were claiming it got cut to like £50 tho.. dunno.. I'm not a student anymore.
I saved a fair whack on my MBP when I bought that by buying from a Uni PC.. (altho, that was two years ago now... revision 1 of the MBP!)
Well worth it.
It's all OK with these Dell's running OSX.. but everyone is missing the point: It's not a Mac.
If you're happy with a Dell, Buy one. If you want a Macbook, Buy one.
Done.
If you have disposable, my advice would be to save a few more months, and pay for it outright.. especially as you're looking to put £500 down anyway.
Obviously I dunno how much you have spare each month, but this is the better option IMO. (other people may disagree, but... Heh!)
Very very few around at the moment.
The new Macbook is that good, people just don't get rid straight away.. ;)
You'll need to wait a few months more, before you start seeing them appear on eBay IMO.. the ones I've seen have been very new, very unused, and going for very similar prices to new...
SSD is new technology. Very quick, no moving parts etc like a normal HDD. They are smaller in capacity at the moment, but much more expensive than standard drives.. if you can afford them, and you don't need massive amounts of space, they're worth it. If you can't afford it, or need lots of...
ADSL or Cable?
If it's ADSL, Cisco 877 would be first choice followed by the Netgear DG834.
If it's cable, get ADSL and get the Cisco 877 or the Netgear DG834 ;)
As said, Cisco won't be in PC World..but the Netgear should be.
Don't be fooled by the Netgear tho.. if you don't do VPN...
BT have to - it's their network.
If anyone connects a phone line (except Virgin/NTL), BT always have to install it.
It's just, the ISP will have an agreement with them and/or pay the connection charge.. they'll just absorb the cost in your contract probably.
Please no one suggest that this guy gets a phone with full internet access capabilities.
ClioSport would be whole load busier if Scutch had internet access from ANYWHERE.
Thanks.

Looks OK, I guess. (well, compared to the current ones..)
Heh.
That's up to you.
Depends if you want a poorly implemented dock, poorly implemented dashboard and poorly implemented expose? If you do.. keep it going.. if you don't, use Vista.
Can you tell I'm impressed? ;) I'm sure it'll all come together tho to be the best OS ever.
