With regards to Windows 7, I think the minimum spec is something like a Dual 8-Core CPUs with 16GB RAM? You'll also need 2TB of space for the system only.
CPUs need to be developed for it.. hence it's a while off yet.
I'd stick to OSX mate. ;)
iPhone has unlimited usage when on O2 and in range of BT OpenZone...
Gotta love it when even BT customers don't get a similar deal ;)
Altho, 240 minutes on an iPhone is probably a bit much... haha.. can't use it with a laptop.
So maybe they do know what they're doing :rasp:
How? Heh.
I work with lots of companies.. and I would say a lot of them now backup 100GB+.. LTO2 is 200/400GB, and I very rarely suggest that now.. always LTO3/LTO4 for a bit of future proofing. And some of these are as low as around 20 staff!
I always found watercooling was noisier than fans.. the pumps always made more noise.
Might have changed tho - Last time I built a watercooled machine was like, 3 years ago now.
One of the main features in Vista is the search - no point turning the indexing off, as it shouldn't really affect normal usage.
Vista is also fine on 1GB RAM, better on 2GB. 1GB is perfectly usable though on the whole, depending on usage though I guess.
How else are you going to select the tracks you want on the phone?
It doesn't just know and select the right tracks at random ;)
Playlists are by far the best way.. I just have an "iPhone" playlist, and anything in there gets synced.
Right click on the tracks, get info.. set it to be part of a compilation. The reason they are separated is because you probably have a different artist for each track?
There's also an option to group compilations.
Haha.
You do realise Vodafone's purpose is to make money for it's shareholders right?
They're never going to make a loss on any deal to an enduser - strategic deals such as giving Lewis Hamilton a free phone, maybe they'd do that.. but that's advertising. Putting their logo on a McClaren...
I'm just hoping for
- Increased speed of typing
- No Call Failures
- Exchange Push not to randomly stop working for 4/5 hours then come back.
- No Safari crashing
- No dodgy signal nonsense where I have to ring people back.
Infact, I just want 2.1 to have fixed the problems it said it...
I don't understand the whole "do you need this" sort of stuff.
People buy lots of things they don't need.. but they enjoy them - so why shouldn't they? Good luck to them I say!
Looks great Mr Munson! ;)

More UI changes.
They desperately need to stop trying to be OSX though...
New taskbar which, uh, works strangely like the Dock in OSX?
New wireless finder which, uh, works like the OSX one (single menu to connect...
Heh, you realise O2 own Be and their internet connections are the same right? :p
They use the same network, same infrastructure etc...

On the flip side, I get unfiltered access, a range of IPs (with scope to add as many as I want subject to RIPE justification), from my ADSL provider.. :D
I've got loads of stuff hosted on it - mail, web, svn, dns, etc. All fine.
They even let me set my own Reverse DNS via the Admin panel...
