Worst update ever.
Seriously.
I get Call Failed now, which it was supposed to fix?!?
Earlier, I had full signal but couldn't hear anything.. if it flicked between Edge and GPRS, it disconnected.. so I made a call, nothing, then call failed.
Grrr.. never had it like that before.. and...
If you get a phone line in there, you'll still need to move your Netgear.. as you'll need an ADSL modem (the Airport isn't one). You can't connect to the same broadband connection by just plugging in ADSL modems, either.. you can only have one.
If the wireless reach in there, you're going to...
Nope - it's ALWAYS been a vast vast vast difference.
And yea.. it's amazing.
Scutch - wait till you have to watch some Champions League action on ITV.. then you'll have bad eyes! Terrible!
I'd keep your Netgear and just join that to your network if all you wanna do is play music to it via iTunes?
Otherwise, you'll be in bridge or double NAT hell..
FFS, it's more annoying now.
Ok, contacts are quick.. but EVERY call I make and then hang up, it comes up straight after Call Ended as "Call Failed - Retry?" :(
Hmm, thankfully I use exchange.. it resynced all of my mail from scratch etc, dunno about contacts, maybe it resynced them too?! Heh.
Not sure what the update did, but it wiped my e-mails out until it synced.
It'll get much better.
I have WiFi on, 3G on, Bluetooth on, and I get around 30 odd hours now. (and it's constantly flicking between 3G and Wifi)
Obviously if I use it loads, I get about a day.. but that's enough really. (Day as in, wake up, and then put on charge when I go bed so 14 hours +)...
It is, but depends if you're going to use it as an iPod or not?
If you're not going to use it for music, no point at all in 16GB.. 8GB is massive for everything else.
But, once you buy, you buy.. and that's it! :)
8GB is enough for me.. got a few albums on it, but I rotate my music. There...
Unlimited Wifi means you get free access to BT OpenZone and The Cloud Wifi networks which are often in pubs, public areas, etc.
You also get unlimited 3G/Edge/GPRS data access, when a Wifi Hotspot isn't available.. so you can use it wherever.
Obviously you can connect to any other Wifi network...
It's not free software, so nope.
You'll need to get the original disks or buy it.. if it's a home PC, you can get the Home & Student Edition for around £80/£90 from memory, which includes Word.
£500 for a D430?! You're getting big discounts - they start at like £699 and you always need extra stuff.
All the quotes I do end up around £1000+ for the D430 after you've made them decent. (altho, I've not done one for a month or so, so they are probably dropping the prices big time to get...
Hmm.
Still not E4200 on the scene.. really want to get one in place of my D420.
Infact, this is about the first laptop range I think has actually beaten my Macbook Pro in terms of looks.. seriously. Infact, the E4200 is probably the best looking laptop I've ever, ever seen.. bar anything else...
I spent £1500 on a MBP just because it looked awesome.. haha. In terms of performance, they're pretty much the same apart from the dedicated graphics, so not much point at all.
But hey.. it did look immense on my desk ;)
The box Dad had replaced was just breaking up on certain channels, so still worked.. just movies were unwatchable until they replaced it.
Don't think Sky HD boxes are any more troublesome than the Sky+ box though?
The main issue is with getting a new box is losing everything which has been...
I bought an MBP. I sold it a year later for 50% of what I paid. I bought a Dell laptop instead.
Mum uses an iMac, but it runs Vista only now.. no need to use OSX.
My mate has an iMac, running OSX and he loves it.
I guess it depends on the person. :)
Quite easy.
Mobile numbers go up in sequence.
They go into the shop, buy a mobile phone on o2.. then they know that the numbers around it (so 2 at the end instead of 1 for example) are probably going to be new contracts on O2 too. This is why it's only new contracts which get targetted.
Big...
