Not sure.. some do.. Phones 4 U at one point were I think.. people on street asking people if they had long left, but it didn't matter as they'd pay it off or something.

I was in a similar position with Orange...
Media Player is awful IMO.. I hate it.. Media Center is good as is Home Server integration.
However, I have SkyHD so no need for full recording TV etc.. all I want is to be able to have centralised music mainly.. which, if Apple get their finger out, could be very very good.
Maybe if they did it...
Well.. you seen the new MediaSmart's? HP added "Mac Support" - useless.
It allows backup from Time Machine now (without the dirty bodge).. great...
They still just stream stuff though via daap, which is useless for most people..
Apple need to do something.. and then they'll be in a great...
Not properly.
It can.. but if one person adds to the library, the other people have to manually add too... ugh.. awful.. and it gets messy.. quickly. It's not properly synced.
Yep.. it's a rumour, but then, the new Mac Mini has been a rumour for about 18 months.. soo... I trust none of them anymore.
Bear in mind, if they did sort a central media server system out, they'd prolly sell more stuff - more Apple TVs, more iPods, more laptops.. as people can use more than...
It's annoying.. if they had a solution where iTunes connects to it, as a proper library.. from multiple PCs, which can be associated with multiple iPhone/iPod... it would be beyond amazing. Infact, I'd probably buy that device straight away....
I'm in a real mess at the moment with my media.. :(
They need to forget about stuff like this, until they modify the Time Capsule to be a proper media server.. where you can sync iTunes from, from multiple machines, and still be able to sync the music to the iPhone etc.
Then, once that's done, they can think about modifying the Apple TV... at...
It's not really supposed to compete with a Macbook plugging into the TV.. it's effectively just a media streamer/player...
I know my laptop is always on, on forums, MSN, IRC, Mail etc.. so I wouldn't want it plugged into the TV playing music, movies etc.
If you don't mind your Macbook being...
;)
I'm not giving up.. it just got to the point where Admin sourced different hosting.. due to having issues for so long..
Gives me more time to post and argue with you Vista lovers in here, so s'all good ya?!?. ;)
Works fine.... unless DNS has changed and there's no @ record?
Just add www... or maybe you need to reinstall XP and get rid of Vista? (Cus it sucks remember!)
So are we.. and whilst it's not that bad, we do have problems on occasion (although we service lots of clients with it, so no setup is identical) usually on upgrades/updates.. but they're really minor compared to how long it just sits there working as it should.
At the end of the day, nothing...
Either a low end Core Duo for that or as you say AMD.
I went to AMD when they brought out the Athlon64.. was one of the first (Athlon64 3000+).. I was happy with it. The new Intel CPUs have really raised the bar though, so I don't really track AMD progress anymore.
Ah, see what you did... :
Yea... indeed your comment of getting a LGA775 socket CPU is correct for that board... but, the board seems majorly overkill too! Heh.
See my post above - a Quad Core CPU might be a good, cheaper alternative depending on use!
That's always the issue, but if you can afford it, the Core i7 stuff is pretty impressive... offer great performance.
Whether a decent Core2Quad would be suitable for what you wanna do... well, probably.. especially as the graphics card isn't anything super special, so it doesn't look like...
No you don't......... it's not a LGA775 socket CPU!
I'd join forums.overclockers.co.uk and get someone to spec a system for you (or look at the existing specification threads) - you'll get a better solution where everything works together properly then!
Good luck.
There aren't... EndPoint is the product.. The only options are what you add on - such as Email protection etc.
It's this main product: http://sophos.com/products/enterprise/endpoint/security-and-control/8.0/
Paste here what they comr back with.. cus' £39/user/2 years is a really low price..
You sure that's right?
£7800 for the two years? Or you saying that the £39/per node is for the two years? (which is really cheap)
From the Sophos Partner site, 100 users for 2 years is £5062.50. (For Endpoint + Email)
Yea, in terms of an install and let it work.. it's pretty effective.
I've only really had one install where it couldn't cope with it... but they were getting rediculous amounts of e-mail a day.
It's not the best out there, but in terms of the entire package, Endpoint + PureMessage is pretty good.
Was thinking more 2008 Server.. the 1650 should just meet the minimum requirements, but not the recommended.. although, doing just an AD role should be fine? Heh.
2003 R2 would be my choice though I think on this one.. but.. 2008 is an option.
Of course, we also look after many. many servers running SBS... so those do everything as well - seems to work fine, until you add SQL on it.. SQL + Exchange on the same server == bad news! But when they don't run SQL and ISA (SBS Premium) they work really well for small companies.
Those Dell...
I never ever spec a server with less than 2GB RAM now.. 4GB preferred.. it's REALLY cheap now!
The other decision is SATA or SAS for the hard drives.. but then, depends on the budget and use (in this case a DC).
On a DC though, you could get away with small SAS drives.. overkill maybe...
