HP DL360, DL380
Dell PE1950, PE2950, PE2900 (Rack chassis)
Dell R200 would even do really....? Heh. Or even a HP DL160.
Depends on how redundant you want it etc too?
Any is fine.. I'd be more bothered about specification than brand of server... then from there, go to your preferred...
That's not corruption - that's just different file formats.. and you can patch Office 2003 to open 2007 documents.. altho, as you said, saving as Office 97-2003 is a better bet to maintain maximum compatibility.
I can't say I've heard of any file corruptions on a large scale.. sure, documents...
You'll probably find people who are happy with their OS choice, don't actually care which is better.. I certainly don't anymore.
Vista's uptake has been slow.. and I don't think most large enterprises will move it to - they may just go straight to Windows 7. Certainly the large amount of...
iPhone is awesome.. I send full e-mails on mine.
8GB is fine.. depends if you're going to use it for media? I don't.. so 8GB is massive..

(Has built in answerphone this one)
Happy with it.. solid and they just work.
Ubuntu 8.04 and newer installs on my laptop (Dell D420) and EVERYTHING works.
SD reader, wireless, sound, graphics, suspend, hibernate, battery/charging stuff, bluetooth - everything.. and that's without doing anything apart from installing it.
True.. but it gives a good indication and emphasises the fact that you should use UK-based servers if possible.
http://www.bluesnews.com/articles/latency_vs_ping.shtml goes into some detail about "latency".
Probably not, no.
For illustration, the ClioSport server is *very* well connected (right in the middle of London, Docklands). 0.9ms to ping the BBC. But, to ping google.com, it's 93ms from the ClioSport server....
I get around 25ms to the BBC from my home ADSL connection, but 117ms to...
