The contract is fixed.. so they're just giving you the reconditioned phone free (they'd normally charge you for the phone on the £35/mo contract)
8GB is normally free on the £45/mo contract. It's £99 on the £35/month contract.
Terminal absolutely owns CMD in every single possible way ever possible ever!
Looks better, functional, better. Did I mention it was better?
CMD is unusable for most things.. Terminal usable for everything.
Maybe we should get some Terminal T-Shirt's made up.
One day, someone's going to register a domain you really want for yourself, and they're going to want stupid, stupid money for it..
Ah well.
Altho, if you can't beat them... join them... ;)
Minimum is 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD which is more than enough for what you want to do.. (providing you don't want a keyboard which lights up if it's dark?).
They super quick. :D
In that case, £949 from Apple.. or goto dabs.com and it'll be cheaper :)
dabs.com are the cheapest I reckon.. but you'll only be able to buy the base 2.0 or 2.4 spec, not specify getting additional RAM, different HDD etc so if you want, say, 4GB RAM, it may work out better to buy it from Apple direct (as DDR3 RAM is quite well priced from them)
It's not about "What's better" it's about "What works better for me"
I can do Ruby on Rails development in Windows - it's awful, but it's possible.
Same with web development.. it's just "better for me" in OSX.
Lots of things are better in OSX - sure, you can do them in Windows, Linux...
Re: *****FAO APPLE MAC USERS*****
Incorrect.
You can do quite a bit more a lot more efficiently in OSX, but it depends on what/how you use a computer.
For example,
Ruby on Rails development for example is a million times better.. due to the terminals, good support and TextMate...
