But they wouldn't be permanently live?
Personally, I'd go direct from battery, with an inline fuse.
You'd probably be fine taking power from the radio live, but I wouldn't just so I didn't have to molest the standard wiring.
sorry!
In my defense, it was fucked.
and it was a saxo. :P
Water pump was gone, I paid £150 for it as a non runner, stripped the rear beam off it and sold that for £130 with the brakes lol
Dash has been off several times.
Replaced standard clock unit with oil pressure and voltage gauges.
Does you setup allow for charging of the tablet and plugging in another USB peripheral?
That's the bit i was really struggling with in my original idea, hence the use of a hub
I had a quick google, but that raised more questions that it solved.
I'm looking at installing my Win8 tablet into the car to run music / RSTuner / Diagnostics from.
The tablet has a micro USB port for charging / connecting to devices.
This is the easy bit, I can use a Micro USB - USB adapter...
To add to mendizmos post (without taking anything away from it)
Run your remote and power lead down one side of the car (passenger side is easier for battery access)
And run your rca lines down the opposite side
Yea, the phonos will be labelled
Front, rear and sub if you have 3, or front rear/sub if you have 2.
Its quite common, most aftermarket hu's will have the normal connection and at least 1 phono output
Ahh, i'm with you!
On the back of the headunit you should have some red/white phono sockets.
Maybe 2 or 3 pairs?
The amp for the sub wires to these, the 4 speakers connect to the plug with 8 wires on if you want to run them direct from the headunit
You'll struggle tbh.
Most manufacturers only go 4 channel (front left / right, rear left / right)
Maybe a dedicated dvd unit would offer extra, but i cant think of any other occasion that would offer it.
If you just want it for extra speakers and aren't fussed about sound balance, you could use...
^^ what @Mendizmo said.
I'm running a not too dissimilar setup to him in my 172 and it gives a good hard thump.
I am running a vibe 800w underseat unit in my MGZR and it gives a lower note, but no real kick compared to a pair of 12"s
I don't know if it'll work on 300ohms.
The ecu will be looking for a particular signal.
Not 100% though, so let me know how you get on!
Edit
Tidy looking buttons, added to watch list
from what I can make out, yea!
Its 2 wires but different signal strengths to give a different command to the ECU.
just a case of getting the signal strength right with resistors.
buttons from maplins / demon tweeks / Halfords.
Couldn't tell you which resistor goes where, although if you've got standard CC buttons you could probably work it out.
Has anyone successfully used a light gun on the 360?
I know there was one single solitary game and gun looked was a big twin handed jobbie, but i was hoping for something more pistol sized.
I've seen people use other light guns with an xcm crossfire adapter but wondered if anyone had any first...
