the one in west yorks let me down in a bad way. Took two weeks to tell me he couldn't make a scheduled appointment, re-arranged for a week later, then told me 5 mins before he was due to turn up that he couldn't do the job!!!

it's a pitty they didn't test the standard exhaust on the same RR before fitting this one.
The direct comparison would have been very interesting.
Looks like a good system, not sure on the dual back box design as opposed to a single back box with two pipes though - i'd have thought they weigh...
spot on Fred.
£100k + cars and lads who they can't tell what your level of experience is.... would you throw the keys over to a complete strabger, given there's not even any speed limits to worry about?
never in doubt on track. 1 second is a larger gaqp than i expected though, considering the clio is heavier than the mini that was a eye opener.
I'm yet to drive the 197 cup but my experience of the R27 and FF197 is that they are slightly slower than the 182 cup and trophy. Whether the 197 cup...
tell the police about the nissan.
looks to me like either bull bars or a toe bar - a normal bumper would have taken out the light also as it's not just a tap.
Suprised you didn't hear it happen, that'd of been a whack
where've you read that? i've drove the R27 and standard 197 and couldnt get near the time i set in the Trophy..... on the same day with me driving...
The R26 was about level but R27 was around 1.5 seconds down - at Cadwell, Outlon and Brands!
After a good camera mount for track day use..... so many choice it's doing my head in.....
one suction cup, or three or even fixed mount?
only need one for a light camcorder (not bullet cam)
Any ideas?
yep also why drilled disks work, the grooves work with centrifugal force.
There's a whole range of benefits to grooved disks but brembo only list them as wear indicators, although the technitions real off allsorts of actual benefits.
Of course none of them really make difference on the road...
the principle purpose is wear indicators, but the grooves do aid cooling and the dispersal of water from the disk.
i.e. ina down pour you get instant braking rather than needing to tap the brake first to dry them. Having said that it's irrelivant if you go for a race or fast road pad as their...
Max are HC but with grooves
they aid cooling and wet braking performance. For everyday road use the extra money isn't worth it as you'll never really generate enough heat to need the cooling and you shouldn't be driving that hard to need the grooves in the wet.
where did you get the speedline stickers for the wheels from?
Car looks stunning - i'm sure i voted for you a while back on the french forum's best photo competition...
lol i've got a cousin that's just bought a 1.2 uno thing not too disimilar to this.... 'err, yeh it's nice aint it, any plans on painting the wings to match the rest of the paintwork?"
I had to laugh.
i was thinking maybe the 2 ltr lump out of s2000. Perfect for high revving track work and more reliable starting block to play with.
Depends on budget though... any engine..... stick an old M5 engine in the bugger and watch the 3000GT's, Superas quake :)
coming in on this a tad late, massive respect although as a road car i expect it won't make for comfortable mile crunching lol ;)
do the rules state you must keep the original engine? thought about scrapping the piss french one and going for a jap or german one?
As you've done all but...
it was a question not a statement..... thanks for clearing it up though ;)
So the reason our transmissions for the past 40 years have been shite is our receiving equiptment hasn't been up to the task, not the camera equiptment... is that correct?
'Feels' seems to have been used a lot there..... ie. subjective opinions. I think you'll find that the 4 points i made are all fact not opinion based.
As you point out a 1.2 nova at 80 will 'feel' like it's going lightspeed compared to a clk, 911 etc at 80.
Car stablity, road and engine...
how do you define 'the best'?
Out of the 3 cars mentioned - 197 cup, trophy and williams.
Trophy is quickest on track
Trophy is quickest on road
Williams is lightest
197 Cup has the best trim levels.
As far as the cup being quicker than the trophy, how can it be. It's the only one i've not...
the manual says its for HD equiptment, but shows a vga to dvi socket into a hdmi cable, not sure why the vga is needed..... presume they didn't just intend it for pc use....
i'll get the cable, if it doesn't work then the panasonic tx-37lzd70 looks a good bet.
