Sounds like he had no insurance either...
Lol at everyone saying do it. So your ok paying for an mot and £245 road tax and letting him get away with it? ;)
That looks like mine Gareth!
Keep the us updated on what you do with it. All mine does is serve media and I rdp into it from work o surf the net/pick up files remotely.
Would be interested in how server 2008 works on one. Did try Ubuntu server on my old desktop but wanted to remote in to...
Whey hey! A blast from the past. The sky man.
I'm going to relocate my microserver in the loft once I get 10 minutes to myself. Do you have a loft conversion i.e. a proper room or is it in a dusty loft? I'm a tad worried about the heat in ours come summer. Have you had any problems?
Me too! Well 10 years, the dog died :dapprove: and shes next door about to burst with our first spawn. Any day now.
From day one I was a firm believer of double baggin' to prevent little people. Last June I was hood winked I tell thee!
I'm keeping the 172 and she's got a Modus now.
Yup you can have 5 drives. I have the DVD rw in the optical bay. If you want to put something in the optical drive make sure you get a molex to sata cable.
I have boggo kingston non ecc ddr3 memory.
Btw the bubble wrap in the pic is to reduce the vibration. Hardly any fan noise but quite abit...
I'm with virgin and plugged my box into the router and rather than getting a fail under the service connection I get connected but it doesn't let you do anything.
lol. I thought someone would say that. For what I need it to do I.e. glorified nas with rdp it does.
I tried Ubuntu server but needed to remote into it to avoid the work internet filter. Couldn't be assed to learn how to configure a proper server.
Kdf is the daddy. Pics of your current...
I've got a hp proliant micro server with windows home server on it. £129 with the cash back from ebuyer.
Bunged in 8gb ram, a couple of 2tb drives and a DVD drive.
It serves 5 clients and streams to 2 media devices. It's been up since the 17th December without any problems.
It takes a...
Lol. I noticed the paw print.
I hit a cat on the m2 a couple of years ago. Little fucker was chasing a butterfly. In slow motion (more like 90 mph) I hit it and it bounced across the carrageway into oncoming traffic.
Stopped. Checked the car was OK. Found the lower grill was bent. Walked back...
30 in March and still love driving the 172. Had it for 5 years now. Just forked out for a new cambelt/aux and dephaser so I'll be keeping it for the next few years.
If you keep it totally standard you'll be OK. You'll only look like a dick if your driving around on 19s, decatted, silvervisions...
Glad I'm not the only one who struggles with this. First time I did the 172 it came off easy.
Last time I was battling for an hour in the rain before I realised I was tightening the c**t up!
Turn right to left iirc.
A tip I've found is to wear rubber gloves to get a good grip on it.
Hi Cliosport. Long time no speak!
Looking under the engine on the 172 I noticed you can still see the bottom of the Aux belt. Am I missing a cover as there seem to be holes for something!?!?!
Thanks,
