I'm intrigued to know what the difference is in power delivery between the S/C and Turbo saxo. Im guessing its as expected - S/C is linear and smooth, with the turbo being a little laggy then whack ?
Either way, 3 brilliant little cars that i had little or no appreciation of for the last 5-6...
Great stuff, thanks for the replies... i was just worried they might try and fob it off and say we had caused it or something, but its so blatently obvious whats happened.
So my girlfriends car got a rear bump around 3-4 months ago. The car was sent away to be repaired and came back looking as good as new. Over the time the paint work started to look at bit distorted, almost like a layer of was hadnt been rubbed in properly over the affected area. She contacted...
Love it, and really don't get the love for the R53's one bit?!! I owned a standard cooper s checkmate (the one with a diff) and it was hands down the most boring car I've ever owned/driven! Gutless and drank fuel like an alcoholic drinks special brew!
Seats have transformed the interior, fair...
I'll get a few interior shots up no probs, but to be fair, you will probably get a better idea of the interior by googling it.
Options i didn't bother with as its a lease. You have to pay in full for any specified options over the term of the lease, so couldn't see the point as it was pretty...
I'm in the process of sourcing some Prets to replace the wheels which look a bit crappy in photos, but OK in the flesh. The exhaust sounds awesome so not sure what you don't like about it, other than what we discovered about the tips being bolt on additions? Sounds way better than the hatch does!
Hi Everyone,
Thought id post up a thread for my new Golf R Estate. Got the car on a really cheap lease deal and really enjoying it so far. Heres a few pictures and quick video.
Comments welcome

@Paprika123 i wonder if VW will be able to see how many times you've launched your car, and all the other fun things you've done in the Golf since taking delivery 😂
Not for your Rods though... My 5 was mapped (351bhp 306ft lbs) to ensure there wasn't too much torque going through it due to the Rods in 4/5/6 Evo's being like tooth picks.
Looks lovely though, nice to see one being kept clean, rather than gutted and tracked to within an inch of its life!
It's true... I'm on my 5th now. Sold my 3 series when buying a house to release some funds for a deposit, first choice of car in terms of bang for buck was a 182. So, went about sourcing a nice RB182 FF and hit the jack pot with a 1 owner fully serviced and looked after example. Nearly a year...
What does getting the car into the top 25 mean? And what did you do to achieve that?
Is that using the manifold pictured further up? Sounds great, I'll look forward to the pictures!
Just read the whole build from start to finish, great work mate!
With regards to the final figure, arent most S/C conversions usually around 250bhp? Did Dan say there was anymore power to be had with any changes?
Very nice mate, well looked after!
I think you need to post a few videos of it on the go from the outside! Be interesting to hear what it sounds like I'm comparison to the F4RT engines!
Just spotted this after a few people were talking about them on the "other marques" chat area... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/nissan/350z/nissan-350z-gt-coupe-2004-azure-blue-75k/4644712
