Lovely cars mate, assuming they haven't always looked like that, did you carry out the restorations on them both?
Any pics of the interiors and engine bays?
Does the steering wheel still have the carbon thumb grips? It still looks very tidy in those pictures mate, definitely had a good life before and during my ownership. It was about due a belt change when I sold it on so I'd be checking for proof of that being done too!
Words escape me as to why...
What milleage is it on now?
I bought it off a chap that worked for Renault and was the 2nd owner. Think it was on about 60-70k or so?He cared for it like his baby, all service history was kept in a folder with it which he carried out himself at Renault. EVERY single penny spent on it was...
Yeah, i think its going to have some kind of influence on your decision (looks aside), i would feel the same, it would always be "just a lease car".
So youre giving it back after 1 years ownership? im the same with my cars... 6-9 months and im driving something different usually. I do fancy...
Glad you had fun on the track day Matthew.
Where you've said before about getting rid because you haven't "loved it"... do you think that's because subconsciously you have always known you don't actually own it and its going to be handed back, therefore you've not really bonded with it?
I'm...
I think its the CAT as the bit where the joining kit goes is all corroded and has nothing to join to... i'll double check later though.
If this is the case, any cost effective ideas?
Hi all,
Looking for some advice. I've been out the loop a while on clio's, but now i've got myself another 182, i thought id put a fresh change of oil through it for piece of mind. Whilst doing so, i went under the car to check the health of the exhaust which was fine, but the CAT is shot and...
I've always thought that as you get older you need to move on and have a big bmw/audi/merc. Then i remember always seeing blokes in their 30's, 40's, and 50's driving around in brand spanking new hot hatches of the time and thinking, why are they driving them when they could easily buy a nice...
If so then i stand corrected.... last time i checked it was only Samsung that had the rights. I'm going to be looking at TV's again this weekend so will double check then.
Looking good Dan... I saw you comment in a thread about being given a job that was slightly out of BAU range to showcase your skills. Are you able to offer 20vt conversions as a package to customers?...
Thanks for all the replies everyone.
The reasons i'm going for BT are because of TV package. Im buying a brand new house and also buying a New TV to go with it. If i dont get the BT TV then i have to look at getting a hard drive, but then im limited to Samsung only as id like ITV player, 4OD...
Ive found this deal which looks spot on.... is there haggling to be done, perhaps on the one off payments like connection fee etc? or are these prices all set in stone?...
Entertainment Plus + Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Weekend Calls
12 month contract
FIBRE
PAUSE, REWIND + RECORD TV
NO TV...
Evening All,
Looking to get BT Infinity for when I move house. I have been on their website and haven't got a clue what I'm looking at. It's going to be used for general internet browsing, spotify/Sonos music usage, and ITV/BBC/C4 players. I'd also like the BT TV so that we can use the box for...
I ran a 172 Cup turbo as a daily.
Had Megane internals and was running circa 230bhp. It was great fun to drive and worked fine as a daily, going to cost a little more on fuel though as you would expect.
Well this has come on a way since i was last on CS!
I remember being at the bedford RS track evening in 2013 with you Dan and it having the ITB set up, i've got a great picture of it i'll upload if i can find it.... bad luck having to re-shell though, that Porsche grey is possibly one of my...
Oh nice, well give me a shout if you're up here at any time, would love to go for a blast! Plenty of good driving roads around here as you well know!
I need to get myself to CSS to see what's what and get some inspiration, although the second I see a turbo in an engine bay, or hear the raw of...
Haha awesome!! When's your next track day, assuming that's the reason for all the "upgrades"... That must be a hoot to drive!
Cheers mate, yeah just bought a house with my girlfriend between leamington and rugby hence me selling my german coal burner and getting another trusty Clio just got to...
Yeah Andy RG did the conversion and it was faultless in my ownership, think it got stripped for parts and put on their demo car AFAIK.
Haha really?? Last time I frequented cliosport your red 172 was cammed... Any new additions ?
Really? Hmm I had p-nero's on my last 182 and thought they were a little slippy in the wet. I've always used conti sport 3's for an all rounder... Purely for road use at the moment Cub.
Sorry, I meant for music purposes, do people still use the connect 2 adapter?
Haha, I did the turbo thing...
