absolutely i think that VW looks good, im glad it says it all, its an example of the VW's they race in the VW racing cup, its the same sort of widening they make to touring cars, and WRC cars. It's about function. Infact i think that is a replica of the VW WRC car.
Filling the arches more how...
I always thought clios looked horrid with any form of widening , even the s1600 with the wide body looks tacky as f**k imo.
Clio bodies just dont flow well enough. VW's however..
Great result, Engine dynamics rollers seem to be quite accurate aswell from my experience, no wild torque figures or anything. I knew this setup could crack 200 bhp, it did a long time ago on the 197 cams + RS2 inlet. Seems the RS2 / SM inlets dont seem to want to cooperate with 438 cams a bit...
Constructive, thank you. If you're quick to judge or say somethings incorrect, cant you educate us as to why hes wrong? When you do so without giving any reason or theory as to why its incorrect you look like an even bigger tool imo.
I would imagine landing off a curb at 8k rpm is harsher than...
Took a while for me to recollect where i heard that from, but a fair while ago i was sad enough to watch through 7 or 8 hours of a guy rebuilding a 182 Cup engine on youtube and when he got to the timing portion he explained this exact theory, im under the impression hes no stranger to the f4r...
The timing may well be out a degree or two, has it seen any hard track action recently?
When you hit an apex / curb hard enough to get half the car airborne and the airborne wheel is spinning at a rate much faster / slower than the wheel thats on the floor this can throw out the timing. With the...
Ive just spent money on stuff like, new brake lights, discs and pads, oil, new alternator, washer pumps, fuel. Nothing thats needed fixing as a result of the turbo breaking things though
a turbo clio has cost me nothing in 15 months of ownership, previous one also cost me nothing in 12 months of ownership.
Ive spent money on the car on non-related turbo things though.
i wouldnt be spending out on any genuine renault exhaust parts, they rot. Which is no doubt what happened to yours. get something aftermarket stainless thatll cost you quarter of the price
I bet if you offered £450 for that tessa intake he would take it, id say that would be worth the money, looks a nice bit of kit.
Also this might be of interest to some of you;

Wheres your before run? if the car made 160 bhp before id be happy with the gain.
When people make the generalization that part a bolted on should = 190 bhp is when people start getting very upset, these cars dont all make the exact same power from factory, few cars do.
Ive never heard of the...
If your ultimate goal is to turbo and LSD, dont be worrying about 6mm spacing differences, look for the lowest mileage / well looked after mechanical clio you can find. 172 Cups are often high mileage and they are also the most sought after clio besides the Trophy so i wouldn't spend the premium...
just wondering, havent you thought about just going itbs ? you have pretty much all the gear except the itbs you could sell the rs2 and end up not out of pocket much, and youd be well clear of 200 bhp, with probably better torque everywhere in the range, maybe a slight sacrifice down low but...
widening the track of the car by 30mm is not going to be something you will feel a physical difference from, look at 3cm on a tape measure, its nothing.
Same way you wouldnt feel anything other than a placebo from a 5 bhp gain, you wont be making any noticeable track time improvements. its...
for normal clio offsets i think 15-20mm is the max before you go outside the scrub radius which would affect the handling negatively but if you're within the scrub radius it will affect the handling positively, you could get a much higher offset wheel as another alternative however obviously be...
i love the torque curves on the RS2 manifolds, i bet that feels so snappy low down the rpm range. sorry to hear the recent bad news though mate, hopefully you'll get it sorted.
shoulda just wacked some 197 cams in with some fruity timing for better gains though amiright @JB21 ...
Nope, never used andy greer in my life mate. James @ JMS fit the helix 4 paddle on my last car (The guy who invented the RS2) im pretty sure that sound is in conjuction with the fact andy greer probably fit it incorrectly
Can you actually get to it and remove it without getting the front bumper off? I've had it off and on so many times now I should of just tackled this job when I changed the alternator !
