220-230 bhp realistically , they make about 240 on a high comp build
itb's would be way more suitable for what you want but its probably gunna cost you a couple grand more than a low boost conversion
ive dailyed a helix 4 paddle at that power and its not a pleasant experience, i use engine dynamics 5 puck clutch and pressure plate now and it feels better than an OE clutch (lighter and smoother) and bites just as hard as a helix, but im not running high boost
Very nice project thread, makes me want a big n/a build clio now
Id be interested in seeing a dyno 😌 not for pub or peak figures, but to see how she performs throughout the rev range with these modifications, its nice to educate the community on how things perform
just a normal thing for those mods, if it overly bothers you, you can go back to the softer exhaust hangers or maybe drill more holes in your polyurethane hangers to try and give it a bit more room to flex
Maybe its just Gaz then, or maybe its just because i bought them from kamracing. At the price of some of the top tier coilovers in comparison to the value of the car its pretty shocking they wouldnt send new bolts, they arent really needed but its a nice novelty.
you should be supplied the nuts and bolts that attach the shock to the hub with any decent coilover, they may even be camber bolts, if not you can buy your own camber bolts, presuming its not a coilover that adjusts camber from the top mount
Ah i see, i was searching the ebay number but it wasnt showing me anything, had to look in sold listings..
Couple of things, that doesnt look like the turbo ED use in their kits either, it also looks like he had some fitment issues as that turbo looks quite scuffed up (like its been hitting the...
It doesnt matter mate, even if the kit is from elsewhere, as long as the turbo is fine and no shaft play etc all the parts are fine, the clioturbo thing is more about the plank who fit them, than the parts being bad. Also the 5 puck clutch is definitely good for 280, Andy at engine dynamics...
Have you got a picture of the kit , or is it fitted to the engine? it sounds like it might not be an engine dynamics kit, he uses an AEM ecu not an efi boost module
i personally use the 5 puck from ED and its great in terms of function it feels lighter than the OE clutch but for hard track use and at that power id probably go for the generic helix 4 paddle, it will feel like s**t pulling away but will bite like a b**ch and never let go changing gears
no they arent, some are sleeved, and some have the olive attachment welded on, like the scorpion decat, whereas the miltek decat is sleeved and its longer in length
bloke did actually say, he fits the cams, and efi maps them, so to make it clear, im not refuting ANYTHING bloke has said, or his ability. im just making the point 438 > 197 cams and its shown on multiple different dynographs to be the case. IF anything, Buy 438s and have bloke fit them for you...
You are literally an oldbie , youve been around here forever (no offense :tonguewink: ) But dont you remember the old threads when 197 cams first came around? they were making 8-10 bhp peak gains and 5-6 lb/ft on several cars, chip-mk1's included. i could probably find posts of you posting in...
Me? yes mate, he posted previously saying he did with his dynograph which read 171 lb/ft , what im saying is, i believe that dyno chart to be incorrect. and its more of a ''pop'' (or not really) at either the dyno or the dyno operator. He's taking it personally because im refuting the power his...
Actually, i didn't say that 197 cams dont make that power in the dyno, and because thats my opinion its fact. I remember quoting multiple sources on people who havent had as much luck, and ways you can research up other peoples experience with 197 cams. Do you even have logical brain function...
I get where you are coming from, its probably the most important factor for the consumer on how the car actually feels yes, but is it the best ''evidence'' ? of course not , most people cant physically feel a 10 bhp change in horse power, and human mind can easily be corrupted with placebos, if...
Good response, i was hoping you could of actually come back with some factual evidence but instead you're just an unintelligent clown.
To the OP , i would suggest instead of believing anything anyone has said in this thread to influence your decision against what cams to get, simply do a google...
I'm an ED customer but not for cams, N/A tuning is lame imo, im also a k-tec customer, kamracing customer, demon tweeks customer, pure motorsport customer, ive bought things from just about every place that sells aftermarket things for clios over the years. I just looked on ED's website and its...
That's interesting that when 197 cams were discovered back when Micheal Woodford tested them he gained about 8 bhp peak from them , and then many people followed in his footsteps they also yielded similar results of around 10 bhp gain from 197 cams, and they were known as a slight increase in...
It's a daily mate.
Supercharging is a nice option for linear power but it's also the most expensive option of the three, afaik you can't keep ac with that conversion , but where about a you from? You can't be from the UK if you "need" A/c lol
