Okay, so where to begin? Maybe two years ago. Because it was during that summer, me and 3 friends jumped in an Audi A4 and drove around Europe. We Visited the South of France, Monaco, Milan, Lake Como, The Stelvio Pass, Munich and more. It was a fantastic holiday, and upon seeing some Pictures I...
You seem to be doing a me. That is buying a cheap "Stop gap" or "Runaround" car, then getting obsessed with tidying it up haha. Always had a soft spot for these! Keeping an eye on this one.
It is a marvellous thing, it allows TOTALLY HILARIOUS friends full control of your fuel cap opening.
Oh, I was at a friends and saw this in his garage. And, well...
Not sure where to start really. You know when a car has too many "Niggles" and you're just adding them all up in your head and its getting you down? Like every time I drove it I had that. Plus the fact that they are hideously flawed cars anyway. Really do put my research in when buying cars, so...
Yeah can't seem to find anything at the moment, and it has receipts for a few of them being replaced a couple of years back.
As for TPS, I also got my parts at cost price +10%. It's who you know I guess... Haha. TPS Have always sold to me anyway, all the ones I used had customer counters etc...
Had a pretty good weekend on the banana. First job in the week was fitting a set of TT lower arm bushes, complete transformation from the fucked ones as you'd expect! Also replaced the engine temp sensor with a genuine item due to some running issues, and fitted a forge recirc 007p. Just because...
Thanks to Oxford Car Audio the Lemon now has some JL Audio TR's for the doors. And a s**t load of sound deadening, along with a new wiring kit for my old sub. However, me being me I wanted to fit it myself. So now I have many cuts.
I've started to compile a list of stuff that I want to do in...
Well my thoughts are I may as well upgrade if it's starting to go. The tip is starting to corrode as well.
Remap will go to about 200bhp on the AUQ lump so I've been told. Limited by the turbo and internals. As for the exhaust, I always try to keep it looking OEM (did this on my Mazda and my...
LOL! If anyone on here has been to Bournemouth (I'm there nearly every week visiting my better half at uni) you'll know the taxis are all painted exactly the same colour as mine. A lot of them are Octavias too.
It is a bit of an "out there" colour, that's probably why I like it so much!
No lowering on this. Need to go through the receipts and find out all the stuff that's been done, I know it's had various sensors done and at one point had the throttle body replaced. Skoda also put new coil packs in at the last service.
I think you all have a good point. The only reason I was tempted to alter the exhaust is there's already a broke centre bracket, and I like to replace OEM or improve really. Still brilliant as it is.
Well it appears I am now a Skoda owner.
After the unreliability and painful running costs of my BMW 330ci, I decided it was time to go back to VAG. For the money, MK1 VRS' seemed to be a bit of a bargain when you think about it. MK4 GTI with more power, more practicality and due to the nature...
So I just rang them again. First off they couldn't work out what policy I was talking about, then I just got another "let me take your number so we can call you back"
Unfortunately, my bank (equally f**king dreadful, avoid Barclays as switching to them last year has to be one of the worst...
Hate to do these rants, but this one I feel is very justified.
After a year with sky Insurance, I decided to move to Greenlight (And, after a month with them I had to move to Flux due to neither of them wanting to touch me on a BMW). However, since this time (around November 2014) Sky has...
Ah well yours is a facelift, and says sport. Mines a non-facelift, and just says "330CI". So that theory checks out. I still have everything yours has as far as im aware? Interior/exterior trim and Suspension. Exhaust is pretty nice too (Golf tee mod done).
It was a modification I was going to do anyway (the ambers). But he previous owner already had. The suspension does sit a little low for my liking at the rear, but the adjusters have been taken out. Already bought new shocks as one is dead so maybe that will bring it up a touch.
I'm not sure if...
The Mazda went I'm afraid. I am a bit gutted most days its gone, not as much as I miss the Golf, but the Mazda was in a new dimension of fun. However, as a 6ft 4 guy who seems to spend a lot of times going up and down the bloody A34 it just wore thin a little bit. The revvy engine, tight driving...
The Dualtechs seem to be all I need. Adjusting them helped me a lot on road, I could probably do with making them softer at the rear. But even so, its nice not having crashy/bouncy cheap coilovers on the thing! They ride very well, and coupled with the factory fitted upper/lower strut braces it...
Don't worry, looks wise, it probably isnt going to change. Although, I would like a little splitter or something.
Interior wise, I'd like a nardi or Personal wheel. Just because they are nice to drive with. Gearknob is fine ;). I have to say, the Factory Bilsteins on there looked new. And as...
So due to spending all my money and effort elsewhere at the moment, I needed a downsize/downgrade from my MK5 GTI. Now nothing will ever compare to that thing but after going on a track day in it, I wanted something more suited.
Enter this, my Mazda. Yes "oh no another MX5". Since I had the...
Unfortunately no! I'm not sure why I don't actually, I think I got distracted and was talking to someone I know. The thing is crazy low!
Ask and ye shall receive.
FULL RES CLICKY
This is my main point, after doing Edition for years I know there are some interesting and Unique cars there. But at this show, just about 95% of them were something interesting or unique.
Cheers!
Yes, was probably my favourite show of the year. The hillclimb works very well with the retro feel of the show overall, it was nice going somewhere and seeing an entire field of rare and quirky motors!
So, this was a bit better than Edition. Just a bit. Any show that does away with "Show and Shine" And replaces it with old cars and a hill climb wins in my book.
