Is it just M Sport tips Jim? Doesn't sound like it's had a full exhaust change, my accountant has a standard one and his sounds the same.
Below are just tips that sleeve over the standard exhaust.
You'll have that shined up and back to standard in a day. Got to be worth £40k/£42K then...
I was driving my Meglio earlier and I think the gear linkage has popped off at the gear stick end. It ended up in neutral and a limp stick!
The linkage looks to be connected at gear the gearbox. Although it’s quite hard to see with the airtec filter surround, I’ll take it off tomorrow and have...
Looks great on the 200 wheels, I think the refurbed standard wheels will look better though.
I have the Laguna wheels on my 197, a good cheap alternative.
lol....
4 weeks. My Maserati was off the road for that period so I just needed something that was fairly interesting to use daily, this has been perfect!
I've driven a standard ST and I was left feeling that it needed more power, I bet the Mountune version is very good. The 208 is just great out of the box, it surprised me.
Anyone looking for a modern warm/hot hatch should try a 208.
It handles really well, it amazes me how quickly it goes around the bends.....
You can see my daily 490bhp Maserati in the background, I need more help than the RAC can offer!!
Mine has done 85k, serviced every year and a major service last June. HPI clear but there are a few marks to the bodywork/wheels. I'd be happy with £4500.
This one requires a bit of bodywork and the wheels need a refurb. Full history though.
I think it is the same engine as the Cooper S? I think they can suffer from carbon build up.....
It would be far quicker than a standard Golf GTI in the twistys ;-)
Similar to a Clio 197, not much space in the back.
Maybe my expectations were low but this takes me back to 172/182's, much more nimble than the modern equivalents.
Great value too, I hope to sell this for about £4500.
I bought this to use whist my main car had a bit of work carried out. It's brilliant, for a B road blast I'd pick this over a 197 or a 200T.
The only other Peugeot I have enjoyed driving was a 205 GTI. The driving position and steering wheel are excellent, its a great modern day "hot/warm hatch".
It is still the Clio radiator and fan set up, so it does need to be upgraded to the 225. I have got all of the bits.....
Left to its own devices the fan won't kick in until 103C. It has got a switch so I generally keep the fan on when it's over 90C on track.
I had this out at a charity track day at Blyton on Wednesday of this week, it was my first track day of the year.
It developed a misfire last week that was sorted with new sparks and coils.
It was a wet morning and the Clio was useless on the NS-2R's. I certainly need to look at some...
I have just checked my Maserati on your site, all clear.
I did the usual HPI checks but VCHECK is far better, I will definitely be using it again.
If a high value car has a bad accident in its first year then the insurance company could/would spend £10k repairing it and not write it off. It...
It's been in storage for 6 months and probably started 10 times in that period.
There was probably less than a quarter of a tank of fuel in it. It was never meant to be tucked up for that long, "Lockdown" changed plans.
My 197 Turbo has developed a stutter under hard acceleration.
I booked a last minute track day for Blyton next Wednesday, pulled the Clio out of storage today to find that it’s not behaving.
It’s a 225 engine, 250 turbo, remap and 630 injectors by RS Tuning.
I think I might change the spark...
I have had a 197 Turbo for 2 years and it has been great, no issues. I appreciate dropping a Meg engine in is probably going to be more reliable than boosting a 172 engine.
I spotted the below 172 Turbo on eBay earlier and thought that it looked like a good buy. A bit of an issue with the...
They're Cooksport springs on cup shockers. I think they are a custom spring..... It looks different on the Laguna wheels, they're a higher offset so seem to fill the arches.
It’s a meg 230 engine with the 250 turbo. Larger intercooler and 630 injectors. It made 286bhp without the injectors but it was getting a bit hot. I need to upgrade the cooling system and then map it up to 300.
I forgot how much fun it is, stripped out, buckets, full cage and 282bhp! I'm driving a Tesla Model X daily which is probably quicker to 60 but the Clio is much more fun.
Don't you like the vinyl Iain, I designed that. It's a track car so just a bit of fun.
I'd like to do a few jobs on it over the next few weeks then hopefully I can book some track days for late summer. The cooling system needs improving then it can go back to RS Tuning to get another 15/20bhp...
I took the Clio out of storage earlier in the week and gave it a clean. I went for a drive/exercise this evening and it never fails to put a smile on my face!
