Going to keep a log of what she costs me during our time together.
Car: £350
Text Check: £3
Petrol: £15 (was completely empty and light has not yet come on.)
2 Part warn tyres: £30 fitted and balanced. (2 were illegal).
Miles: 98.
Total: £398.
Depends what speeds were being done on the motorway, if legal speeds I'd have thought the 6 speed box would have made it more economical than 25-27mpg.
Why's that? The difference between the BWM and the 182 will pay for a complete re-wire and then all 3 bedrooms/hall/landing/staircase plastered with new ceilings. It's then over to me to me to do the decorating, can't wait!
Matiz is awful, it made it from Liversedge to Skipton this morning...
The Matiz will only be for 3 weeks aswell as I put a deposit down on BG182 last week.
I intended on hiring a car until I found out how expensive that was, so I'm going to see if this will take my 50 mile a day commute for the 3 weeks. It was 350 quid, 6 months T+T and it has done 74k...
Thinking about it, the title might be a little misleading. I certainly wasn't looking for sympathy, just a bit of a joke really. You are right though, got awful car!
No nothing has gone wrong, things are going very well if truth be told.
I bought a 3 bed Victorian Semi a year ago and all I have done in that time is decorate the bathroom, so I decided it is time I pulled my finger out. In the next 6 months I'm having a complete re-wire, gut most of the...
I purchased a new car this evening and it certainly is a bit of a step backwards. I've had some decent cars since joining Cliosport in 2008.
2008 Monaco
2009 Ph1
2009 TT
2009 Ph1
2010 Cup
2011 325
2012 Daewoo Matiz
She's a 2000 SE 798cc and pulls like a train!
You could have that looking lovely in a day if you have got all the bits, weather permitting I'm sure you will.
I agreed to buy a BG 182 today so it didn't take me long to come back either.
I've used various different ones, the last one I used was near Ikea. I think they are called Birstall Tyres, it was £40 to have them taken off the MV2's and then fitted/balanced on the CSL's. There is a very good place off Thornes Lane in Wakefield, next to Wakefield Off Road M/Cycles.
No they didn't come with centre caps or "M" badges. The wheels were £410 delivered and then badges were about £15, there were some cheaper badges on ebay though.
19's are the ones to go for if you are going to have some lowz but at standard ride height it had to be 18's for me. I suppose another factor was that I have a set of nearly new Bridgstones that were taken off the MV2's.
I think the offset of the fronts could have done with being 5mm less, so they sit further into the arches. Apart from that I am happy with how it looks and I'm not going to do anything else to her. In the last month she's been in the bodyshop twice for little bits doing, new wheels and an...
Yeh they are brand new and are from;
http://www.autoalloys.com/
I have been very impressed with the quality and I did get them a bit cheaper speaking to the bloke direct.
I knew you would prefer the MV2's, but not by "miles". I do know where you are coming from though, I only just prefer the...
Cheers for the comments. I looked at a fair few pics of e46's and felt the 18's looked better unless the car was on coilovers, I suppose it's all just down to opinion though.
I decided to buy some 18 inch CSL "Style" wheels as my standard wheels had seen better days, there was very little curbing but the inner face had corroded badly. They are staggered and I think they look good but I'm sure afew will prefer the standard MV2 wheels.
Cheers lads, I'll hopefully be able to give it a clean next weekend and get some better pics.
I wasn't sure about them when I first fit them, but I do like how the rears have more dish to them than the fronts and the offset is 10 less than standard so they sit in the arch better.
