I did a bit of work on the Laguna today, changed the oil, oil filter and air filter. I fit a CD player and then gave her a quick wash. I've done 400 miles in it so far and it's not missed a beat. It's such a comfortable car but not the most economical, I'm getting just short of 25 mpg so it...
I used to enjoy changing cars and trying to make a bit of money. But I've been putting a lot of money in to my house over the last 12 months and have been getting to work in a 10 year old Punto. I've still got that and I'll go back to using it once I've found something for my partner.
I'm...
I know, I should just leave it as it is and try and get my money back in a months time. But I've been on eBay already looking for bits and pieces to tidy it up.
hah, I bet I can find £4.40 under the seats as it looks like the interior has never been cleaned!
Probably not as fast as you'd think, it sounds good though.
It's a bit ropey to be fair, I'll just stick it on eBay at 99p no reserve when I'm done. I don't expect to make anything on it.
I'm looking forward to giving it a good clean though, see what she's like under all the filth!
Yeh it is really comfy, wafting to work in this was certainly better...
It was £400, I won't even be changing the oil. There were 2 weeks left on the Panda insurance policy that I transferred on to this for free, so it just gives me chance to find something else.
After selling our Panda at the weekend I had every intention of buying an X Type Jag last night, but it was not as described and the current owners were reluctant to negotiate on price to reflect the issues with it. This left me in a bit of a predicament as I needed a car for today.
I was sat...
See that just doesn't ring true. A few months after it was new it would be worth what? 10/11k? To write it off surely the cost of repair would need to be 60/70% of that? I'd have thought it would have been sorted out. But I could be completely wrong, it just seems strange for a 10k car to be...
A decent thread showing what is required....

It's now on Pistonheads as we need something a bit bigger.

There seems to be quite a range on used prices. I'd have thought an early 2006 car with 80k and in decent condition/history could be had for £2000-£2250.
No issues at all but it's only done 27k. I had the cam belt done when I got it at a Fiat dealer and that cost £245, same intervals as a Clio I believe.
She doesn't do many long trips but she still averages 40mpg, pretty much the same as her previous car, a 1.2 Fabia.
I bought this about 3 or 4 months ago for my partner, she wanted a small 5 door car that was going to be economical to run. This came up for sale locally so I went for a look and ended up coming home with it. When I drive it now I'm still surprised at how well it handles.
