If all it needed was ironX to remove the baked on brake dust then C5 has worked to a degree. Otherwise you'd be needing something stronger.
My c5 has been on so long it's failed and brake dust is bonded on the rear wheels oddly. Fallout removers aren't touching it during the weekly wash
I like my original pot of desire and lasts longer. But shield is nicer to use. Finish is subjective to the prep and the user. I'd pay full price for shield, not sure I would for desire
Another option would be autofinesse spirit. I use that more than desire
Carpro tar-x or autofinesse obliterate.
Wash the car as normal, instead of drying leave the car wet. Liberally spray tar removing product over the affecting areas. I would typically cover the whole panel from window line down. Leave a few minutes for it to start to break them down. DO NOT LET...
The 1" VP brush gets used more than all the envy brushes I have except for wheels. Never feel it's firm enough on grimey wheels. The smaller ones not bad for getting in all the shuts. Never use them on the interior as the brushed Hoover attachment works just fine
Looking for some new brushes, currently using the valet pro and envy style detail brushes but want something different.
Keep looking back at the swissvax detail and wheel brushes. Can be had for decent money on amazon. Then there's a pack of 4 from autobrite, look decent but have my doubts...
Rinse car well leaving the panels nice and wet. Apply hydr02 sparingly. Then initial rinse typically works it round the paint before being rinsed off the panels
tried it in a normal spray bottle, pump sprayer and lance, no better than using a generic snow foam. currently trying the pH neutral jet wash and wax and that seems to be better but nothing ground breaking. only good thing about it is that a local motor stores stock them.
I still personally...
the least aggressive the better. Ive removed holograms with a DA and tripple followed by an IPA wipedown after to confirm they were removed and not hidden.
If its more than just holograms and damage inflicted from an aggressive polish then you might need to use a proper polish like the...
Carpro iron x and tar x are pretty decent performers, but most man'f have their own fallout and tar removers like autofinesse and dodojuice. Using these when you re wax should remove the need to clay each time and only clay maybe once a year.
I'd recommend once a year after claying use a good...
Hydr02 is mixed 1:3 isn't it so 100ml makes 400ml of product at £12 for a 100ml bottle direct from carpro. Wetcoat is £10 for 500ml from i4d so not much of a difference. I'd be happy choosing both of them dependant on who stocks what from where I'm next ordering
Wetcoat and original hydr02 I thought performed very similar. The price per litre lite is cheaper, but buying bulk 4 or 5 litres wetcoat is a fraction cheaper. So if lite is as good as original hydr02 it's going to be poplar, more so as it can be used on a dry panel with spray on wipe off.
Any known any inside info on the new carpro hydr02 lite? A pre diluted formula is a lot more useable for me not having to worry about wasting the mix and it going off

Wheel weights stick just fine, even with a pressure washer aimed directly at them, it just makes removing the sticky backing much easier when they're re balanced
Stay clear of smartwax rimwax, pointless product IMO. not tried many wheel waxes but bouncers looking sweet and autofinesse mint rims seems to manage a couple of months. If you've got the gear to clean them properly, I can only really recommend the use of a nano sealant such as GTechniq C5 wheel...
If you don't mind re applying maybe once a month/6 weeks, use something like Carpro reload or Gtechniq C2 on the glass. It does suffer from wiper degradation but last pretty well for how easy it is to use
Gtechniq can be a little fussy in the way you won't know you've applied it wrong until it...
I have had reload smear on a few colours but its more visible on darker colours but that seems to relate more to weather and humidity than application. I tries applying as the carpro demo video and massively over sprayed it on the bonnet, looked awful! recently mixed reload with BSD and applies...
