I can't fault the screen quality on my current iMac, and when I can it's due to the service I'm watching, e.g. streaming a film. For that reason, I couldn't justify the £1760 (With Student Discount) for the 5K one!
Cheers pal. Nice to have a sensible opinion when my brain just thinks "new + shiny toy". Hmm, will have to think about it for a few days I think but I'm leaning towards no.
Well it runs perfectly and is honestly like new despite being 3 years old.
From my point of view, it's the cost of change, which if I get student discount will be £475-£550 depending on selling price for the 3.4Ghz 27" 2014 iMac.
Just umming and arring about if it's a good decision. I do...
Hi all,
Just after a second opinion really.
I own a 27" August 2011 iMac 2.7Ghz and my Dad has said he will buy it off me as he wanted one for my mom now she has retired. We've looked on eBay and sold prices are going for £700-£800. Is this fair or too much? He seems happy with that price...
I'll be picking one up as a present regardless of what it is as she needs a new one now. Can only be an improvement on an older one I suppose!
For myself I do like the sound of n iPad pro but not sure how much use I'd get out of it already having an iMac
Haha Funny you mention that, looking online it appears Apple do often change it when this happens, and I don't even notice it on the phone, so I think I may be doing something similar in 10 months time!
Discovered a clicking sound when I push the screen in by the on button, has anyone else got this?
Looked online and apparently in previous iPhones and this one, a fair few have had it. Seems too minor to take a phone back over, but kind of feel like I should?
My battery was at 100% yesterday evening at about 8pm.
Didn't charge it overnight, played on it a fair bit, plaid music out loud on it in the kitchen for half an hour this evening and used it like I used to use my iPhone 5.
I now still have 41%. My old iPhone 5 would have died at midday!
The rear screen protectors can be useful to prevent that if it's remaining in a case anyway.
Lesson learnt the hard way with a loosely fitting case on my 5 which ruined the back of it.
On going into the Apple shop today, I'm 100% happy that I went for a 6 rather than a 6 plus, 6 plus was too big for me, never know in a years time though when the 6 becomes normal.
As I was undecided between Space Grey v Silver, I was getting regrets about Space Grey but I'd say I'm 75% happy...
Updated order status with Apple - Tuesday 23rd delivery which is good considering the initial expected date was the 29th-2nd
Definitely regret space grey a bit, although it blends in with my wallet and car dash more when i put it in the kenu airframe.
White next time round.
Depends what time the drivers leave the depot I suppose. They come in and start loading up from 6:30 - 7am, so if the driver is prompt they can be out very quickly.
Pre 10am is a premium service and 8:30 is the earliest hence the 1hr 30 slot. (all pre 10ams have to be delivered and can be all over the shop so they won't know the exact time until the morning usually
the silver 64 6 was so tempting, I literally had my finger hovering over the cancel button for five minutes before just leaving it lol! Good choice, I think the silver wears better than black.
I couldn't be bothered to keep taking mine in and out of the ultraslim (it's a pouch type iirc?)
So annoyed I won't be getting mine Friday, hesitated at the time and had a meeting I forgot about which delayed me by an extra hour. Another ten days for me :(
No, although I initially had a belkin one iirc which I bought at launch and as it was a bit loose fitting, dirt would get behind the case and scratch the back of the iPhone quite badly.
Got a skech case after which was much better, but ruined my 5 after the first 6 months (the back of it...
