34 years ago Rallying lost a big talent.

From what I’ve seen you were the “man” if you got your fingers on the paint work of a passing group B rally car. A period of unlimited horse power and courage that I look back on in admiration and disbelief. Maybe Henri Toivensen wasn’t a massive player in that arena but any man/co driver who...

    Handling issues

I imagine it would make a difference as there are differences in spring rate between the two. There should be coloured markings on the springs, check that they match.

New (to me) Clio 182- decat, poor running on cold start- worth a remap?

If you don’t go down that route you need to get your car to Chris at EFI Parts in Runcorn. Absolute wizard with Renaults and a top bloke to boot.

    Undertray?

Yes, it’s got the circular inspection hole to get to the sump plug.

    Undertray?

The second item down on the left should be what you need.

Buying OEM suspension from scratch - shopping list

Pretty sure you can’t use BC top mounts with OEM struts. I’m sure I spoke to Kam Racing about that a while ago.

If you had to choose one or the other for your clio?

You can’t go wrong with a full poly bush, will knock years off the motor.

    Handling issues

Me personally, I’d never replace one spring without doing the other but I’m unsure if there would be any major effects from what they have done. Do the arb bushes, eliminate them as they need doing anyway. Test the car and look to the next area if needed.

    Handling issues

Well in any case it sounds like they need changing. Have you grasped the wheels and checked for any movement in any direction?

    106 turbo winter project

    Rain/light sensor removal

They should have 90% of the loom as it powers the interior lights, vanity mirror lights?

    Rain/light sensor removal

Can anyone help with this? Cheers

    Alternative to Ad08R

If you’ve got a full interior you could probably live with the Ns2r’s on a daily, unbeatable for the price. Next best semi slick in the price bracket is the 888r’s followed by Nankang’s other semi slick the Ar1.

    182 Full fat track slag!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clio-RS-172-182-Brake-Duct-FULL-KIT-cold-air-feed-induction-/323797362963 These are the ones I got mate. I went for the stealth version with 63mm ducting which fits the standard airbox well. If you’re creating brake ducts however, you could go for a bigger option.

    Rain/light sensor removal

Evening all, Another auto electrical question. I’ve removed the short loom that controls the rain/light sensor at the top of the windscreen housed within the rear view mirror. Serv light is now on. Is there a solution to this other than Ren clip which I don’t have access to? I’m thinking I’ll...

    Excess loom question.

Tried it! You were right. Serv light on. I don’t have access to ren clip so unless a simple solution comes up I’ll probably butcher that bit of the loom and reinstall the light/rain sensor. Cheers

    182 Full fat track slag!

Little tip- cover your floor/seats under the area. The white spirit dissolves the glue to a point where it can drip and it’s nasty.

    182 Full fat track slag!

    Excess loom question.

Probably so mate. Would my mechanic be able to cancel the light through the OBD port? Cheers

    Excess loom question.

I don’t have a multi meter and I wouldn’t know what to do with it anyway  Serv lights don’t come up on MOT do they? Cheers

    Excess loom question.

Cheers mate. I’ll be able to try it soon. Any resistor bodge possible?

    Excess loom question.

I’ve got the wiring out in one piece mate.. I can’t start the car just yet but if someone can confirm it won’t throw up any dashboard lights I’ll sell it. Cheers

    182 Full fat track slag!

Praise the lord.. Still took a little while but the white spirit got the glue off. Glad I won’t be doing that again.
