Tried connecting my Android Torque pro app to the ELM327 OBD2 adaptor, and it connects to the OBD 2 but not to the ECU
Any ideas? - had a couple faults on the OBD reader, which clear themselves
suggestions rather than using the ELM 327 adaptor interface
good to know how you get on with that bolt. I'm collecting a roll cage over weekend, and after my MOT early May the rear seats are coming out too, and guessing i'll battle this bolt as well
Be handy to see how you deal with it
you certainly are giving it the full works, bought mine for £600, spent £650 on it (Inc 300 for tyres) and i'm pretty much ready to go on the track.
Lydden, then Brands then Donnington atm
Bet yours will be fab- you touching the engine much? or exhaust manifold?
Thanks for replies
Yes- have aftermarket steering wheel. Last years MOT failed it under SRS light indicates a fault (Red airbag light on)
Owner then resistored out the airbag light, and it passed MOT with advisory "Warning lamp does not illuminate"
Checking the go.uk MOT website, it says that...
will it fail with just the SERV on, as the airbaglight has been resistored out i guess, and is off, on mine
SERV has been on ever since i bought the car 6 month ago, and nothing else is wrong (Oil etc)
Prob go in and ask before the MOT in a month
haven't explored that part of the car as haven't taken the fitting off, but very much doubt it. will be a new bulb holder that fits into the light unit I would have thought
I have volt meter that will show 12 volts is flowing. IE 2 probes, one on the live wire, and one on the other return cable on the connector. If you are getting 12v across the 2 wires that the bulb has plugged into it, then it shows that 12v is getting to the bulb, and then its the connector...
use a bulb that you are absolutely certain works, check the return path (Earth) then the connectors/connections. Conectors were knackered on my upper brake light recently, so by passed them and cut them out
if you have a live switched supply, and return path and a working bulb, theres nothing...
I went to a "cheap" place recently for powder coat blue... they waned £90 a wheel. Ha!
Searching for nice colour blue rattle cans atm, unless anyone knows anywhere in the South East

I realise you cant be on a bleeding hill, but should be OK on a slight incline

Could drive onto a bit of 4 x 2 i suppose... wheres...
Managed to make two extension ramps, to get onto my car ramps, and they worked.
Now got the tarmac marked up where the ramps and 4 foot long extensions go, happy days

Lets hope weather is as good as it was at Castle Combe today
Seen a few Clios at Castle Combe today with NO rear bumper, and one with NO rear bumper and NO front bumper too
Dont like the look, but does it really help air flow?

Well- got it working. just posting in case this helps anyone in future
I couldnt get any of the 3 upper brake lights i had working. the connectors all looked a bit naff and broken and corroded.

i thought there may be a fuse somewhere, (Connector block) but thought someone on here would av suggested that
i am wondering
1. the connector that connects to the brake light terminal has broken wire (But i shove tester terminals in the connector and that what shows the 12v switched live) or...
