Just got my 225 Trophy back tonight after having new R26 shocks fitted all round, wishbone bushes & balljoints, top mounts, engine mounts & an oil change. What's a fcuking difference!

These cars really do come alive after modding. An ex work mate of mine had a 225 version running 310 bhp. Badger 5 pipe, FMIC, 3" turbo back etc. Went extremely well & sounded the business too.

This. The rear end seems to suck up any bit of crap that's on the road especially at this time of year.

Didn't know you could buy new bulk head trims. How much is it? The one on my trophy is done its started to come apart.

No support the engine from the sump with a jack and a bit of wood inbetween otherwise you'll be in quite a bit of bother lol.

I'd buy another 2 new ones for piece of mind.

Honestly mate they're brilliant. I ran Vredstein Sessanta's on my last 225 and they were brilliant but the Ultrac Vorti are even better.

Personally I'd get the Cambelt kit changed too for piece of mind. Just because the belt looks fine doesn't mean the runners/pulleys will be fine.

SWR or Rentec. Both are extremely good Renault specialists.

Give them a coat of WD40.

Where did you get the powerflex inserts from?

I had the exact same problem with my Megane with the hub bearing inserts. Mine were pretty badly corroded and it was causing a fair bit of play in the hub. 2 new inserts, grease bolts & new bearings and it feels better than ever.

I ran ps3's on my 225 and I wasn't all that impressed by them tbh. I'm running vredstein ultrac vorti now and they shite all over the PS3. They're very well priced too.

You serious? I had vibra technic mounts fitted to my old 172 and it vibrated the cabin like hell. Don't get me wrong the car drove brilliant with them fitted.
