    Straight fit but the speedo on the ph1 is driven from the gearbox where as the ph2 isn't.

    The skoda fabia splitter is a popular replacement and only code around £14 and is made of a soft plastic so it can take some knocks and scrapes.

    Nope mileage isn't an issue. My 172 is on 142k and still runs fine and returns good mpg.

    Leads and coil are fine, Marc. Never thought of the injectors being at fault. I'll have a look at the earth on the rack too.

    Yeah for example when going into a parking space when I turn the wheel it seems to bog down and cut out. Also I've noticed recently when I'm sitting at 30 or 40 in 4th gear the engine seems quite farty.
