Also some of the holes in the replica spoiler don't line up properly with the original mounting holes. Bit annoying as i have two bolts missing in my spoiler now.
Just kept the original ones on the car, had it for nearly a year now and had no problems. Could be just because its a replica. Not to sure but if i bought a real one then i probably would have had to swap the boot struts.
I do indeed. Bought it off of ebay cant really remember the price but it was certainly cheaper than a proper one and looks identical. Ill go try find a link.
Ive never attempted one before but done my a pillars, door plastics(behind mirror and bit upside of the door) and hand brake cover also done my dash but that also needs redone. So soon see how it goes.
Might give that a go then. The noise is unbearable. Just not getting how it started as it wasn't as bad before i took the whole lot out to seal and stop leaking. Ill see if i can source the problem and try your fix as well, have the roof liner out just now since in doing an alcantara retrim.
Just finally fixed my leaky sunroof, now its inherited a catastrophic rattle from the front of the sunroof. It sounds like im driving an allotment shed! I have tightened up all the bolts around the frame and that but the sound seems to be coming from the front, roughly where it slides in the two...
Yeah, its a replica, cost a fair bit though only thing is couple of the holes for the original screws don't line up but apart from that as you say it looks great!
Got a ph1 interior light today for nothing and when i plugged it in the light never went on when the door opened like the old one did. Is it supposed to or would i be as well just sticking my old one back in
My cars had a full service at start of the year, timing done and clutch. Regularly topped up with oil when needed. But the car is sounding a bit chappy! No idea what it could be though but its basically as loud as a dci on tick over. My mileage just now is 99311 basically 100k
Any ideas what...
Cheers, Ill get a solenoid tomorrow.
just went out to the car just had a quick look at the light and only thing i noticed is my adjuster on the one that's full of moisture has movement in it and the other one doesn't. Think it might not be in properly. Ill check it better after work.
1. I recently fitted two brand new headlights and already the passenger side is full of moisture/condensation but the driver side one is fine and still looking brand new. Any one know of any solutions/ ideas to get my passenger one to stop filling up with moisture as its looking terrible.
2...
Might invest in some next weekend, These TA Technix don't seem to be as great as i expected.
At the moment the rear has 1.5 camber shims and the inner lip of the arch rolled in. Might try getting the arches flared also.
I'm currently running Ta Technix Coilovers but would like my car to sit a bit better at the rear.
What would be the best coilovers out there just now which have good ride comfort, good lowering capabilities, and have hardly any movement in the rear as thats the problem i have just now
I want...
Sits nice like, Ill give you the heads up on spacers though,
Im running 25mm spacers all round with 195 45 15 tyres on et 37 7j alloys
To begin with i had problems with scrubbing on the rear arches, literally ruined tyres on the back. The way i solved this was slightly flaring the rear...
Is anyone on here running rear static suspension on a non sport. I have coilovers on mine at the moment but the rear is beginning to bug me. It used to eat my tyres but i have recently fixed that with camber shims and slight arch flaring.
Really though would like to find away of it being solid...
Have seen a few videos on youtube and that, also been to plenty of events where clios have been on track.
Once i get on track i will probably be a bit cautious and that since it will be my first proper time.
Probably be aiming for fun and consistancy rather than belting round like a crazed...
Even that's a decent price. Ill just have to wait and see what crops up. Only thing is if i end up finding a bargain ill probably end up keeping it for my self.
That is a bargain! Well hopefully we find something along the same lines as that. Not too bothered about mot or tax to be honest as it wont be used on the road so hopefully find something for a really decent price
