Small update.
Right to begin with the other night i bought a set of 172 alcantara door cards, I i have the rears fitted just got the fronts to put in. Also i have given up on the whole van idea.. Since i have solved my tyre scrubbing problem i felt that id be as well putting it back to normal...
Yeah haha thats all i done with the rest of the lip. Took the wheel off and just hammered it till it was flat all the way round. Seems to have done the trick though. Hardly rubs but its just that one bet that catches at times. Hopefully the camber shims will sort that out.
I think ill go...
Cheers for the info mate. Might give it a bash at the weekend and see how it goes. All i have is spacers and shims so ill see what a difference it does. I have a slight roll on my arches and its helped a lot already but somewhere halfway round the arch theirs a bit of metal like a knuckle that...
Cars looking good! Love the rear camber.
If you don't mind me asking, what size of camber shims do you have and how did you fit them. I have a set of 1.5 degree shims but no idea how to fit them and don't really want to just jump in and start breaking things.
Have a look on ebay. I have a really small stubby aerial on mine and if i remember correctly it only cost £3. Radio seems to be fine with it apart from some areas it goes static
ill either do that or black vinyl what's ever cheapest at the time. Personally i think vinyl is easier to work with as i have ripped tinting film before on previous attempts on cars i have owned.
Its not going to be to everybody's taste but if I ever get bored at least its easy put back to the way it was and its only £15 i would have wasted. Ill see how it goes and how useful it really becomes :)
yeah rear windows are just wrapped for just now. Hopefully ill get round to sourcing some panels for it instead though. Im not liking how i can see blue on the inside.
Cheers mate, for the roof racks i might try get someone to photoshop one on the car for me first. IM a bit unsure my self and their not exactly cheap if i end up not liking it.
Cheers man.
Going to be building the false floor at some point during the week or weekend but have french performance on sunday so ill either get my finger out of just wait till after it.
But yeah false windows would be better as you have mentioned its only wrap over the glass at the moment...
As i can't have anyone in the rear due to rubbing and tbh i don't normally have anyone in the back i decided to have a moment of madness.
Its not done yet, still need to build my false floor to replace the tartan cover. Also for being small its already became practical due to being a big help...
Update
Been a while since i have updated this thread and this update is basically just a moment of madness not really to sure if ill keep it like this but suggestions are welcome.
I cant really have people in the back of the car anymore due to any weight what so ever in the back and the rear...
You wont need to tell your insurance company mate as its not a permanent colour change as its essentially one big sticker and can be removed at any time
Yeah you'll get the odd couple times the police will pull you over and ask why the cars not the colour its supposed to be but usually only...
