To be honest i no cant stand the sight of my front wheels so they will just be used as winter wheels now. As for a matching set the other 2 will be ordered on Friday, pay day cant come quicker!
Thanks alot, Yeah a fair amount of work and effort has went into, I know its only a 1.2 but what the hell its my fun little project and my main goal was for it to be different and stand out.
I was initially wanting to smooth off the newer style bumper but couldn't really find one at the time...
Fitted a new cv boot today and since it was a good day i ended up giving the car a good wash.
Few pics of the car nice and clean, excuse the mismatch wheels. Fronts will be ordered on friday :)
Ill go to the scrappies at some Point and get the screws off another Clio and clean them up, ill have a look behind the discs tomorrow and give everything a good clean.
Could it be anything more drastic than bearings for the rear wheels as i have new wheels on the back and my old wheels on the...
No i don't have the disc screws in. Just recently done the discs on the front and never got any with the new discs and didn't take any out to out the new discs on.
Im not to sure how many wheel weights their are to be honest their are a fair few though.
If the wheels are brand new they...
Thanks for answering that as i was thinking it would be a lot more noticeable on the new wheels.
And yes i have noticed a difference in cornering with the new ones on.
The rear numberplate bulb? I just had a search on ebay mate, cant remember exactly what one it was though. Im sure i found that one in a link on a bulb thread on here.
but search on ebay in sure i just typed in Clio smd number plate bulb
Cheers, I have 4 new bearings on order so should be here by mid week. Also going to replace 2 complete lower arms.
fingers crossed this will solve the problem. If not then ill ring up the company and ask for the exact wheel bolts for the wheels and get a ser of them.
They are Japan racing jr9wheels they had a 74.1centre bore so i fitted 74.1 -60.1 spigot rings. I haven't tried fitting them with them removed but if i did wouldn't that put massive strain on the wheel bolts.
Cheers mate ill look into them soon. Got a wheel wobbling issue i need to sort out.
When driving my wheels are wobbling but noticed all my wheel bearings are totally shagged and on the front my ball joints are shagged as well. Hopefully replacing 4bearings and 2 front lower arms (new bushes...
My only other thought would be im using the wrong bolts for the wheels but the taper on the bolts sits flush in the holes for the wheel. And i am using the correct size spigot rings and the wheels sit solid on the hubs
Recently noticed my wheels have a slight wobble.
I put new wheels on last night (brand new tyres just fitted and wheels balanced) and noticed they wobble so i took them off and put my old wheels back on and the wobble aswell but not as noticeably
My old wheels are narrower and a much higher...
Also anyone know ho i would be able to add a small amount of camber on the front? I have shims on the back and realise its bolts that are needed on the front but have no idea where they go or that?
When i get home from work ill put both of them on the same side just for picture purposes to see what the finished product will look like.
Surprised i haven't tried that already tbh.
Right, On to wheels =).
Finally took delivery of my wheels. Well actually they got delivered last week but totally forgot to update this but anyway, Today they finally got tyres fitted to them and it was time to get them fitted.
So the wheels i finally decided on were Japan Racing JR9's 15x8...
Well finally made my mind up on what wheels and have 2 on order. Thankfully japshop let you order any number of wheels that you want. So the other two will get ordered next Friday when in paid again.
I wont mention just now what ones they are ill let the pics do the talking when they get...
Next update should definitely be new wheels, Would have bought them by now but my insurance restarts again this month so holding off till that comes off, then when new wheels are fitted that should be the car complete.
Might get a stealth exhaust but don't know yet.
Forgot to update this earlier in the week.
Managed to get myself a new side repeater as my driver side one was grubby as hell and whilst i was at it got a new boot plastic.
Also took delivery of some new rubber for the front corners and an RS Grill.
Now the grill was a bit faded and that...
