That's good to know as I've only heard good things about Jack & Royal. Do you think its a quirk of the wheel (not familiar with the mk3) or maybe a Friday afternoon job/oversight?
Just for the sake of conversation, what's your reasoning for wearing top but not bottoms? I was thinking the opposite, as the fire generally comes into the footwell in vids I've seen.
You don't need someone else telling you the same stuff again, BUT how about buying a not-perfect 182 and reshelling it with your 1.2...
Similar idea but then you're still keeping your car, but you've got all the bits to swap across, such as suspension, wider wings, gearbox, rear beam with discs...
I was having this conversation in my head the other week! Currently I've got a single bucket seat and harness, the passenger has a standard seat & belt. I rarely take passengers on track, but I do get tuition. I wondered if having better gear for myself but not the passenger was a bit of a dick...
Would you folks say that its still worth getting one even if you don't have other safety gear such as fireproof clothing etc?
Its a tricky one as its almost like you're choosing how to be injured. But I'd say my car is more likely to go into a wall than go on fire, but you can never really tell...
Seen a couple of beauties this week just passed. Both were pretty much on the same stretch of road, M8 where its a contraflow now, near the Heart of Scotland services.

But for me, I got offered mine for cheap from someone that was upgrading.
Another vote for SW...
Not the same application, but when I bought the BCs for my Lexus the preload was set from the factory. But that didn't have a conversion element to it.
Power steering pump is definitely too noisy to risk a trackday with, so I've ordered another. It's my own fault really, the course of events was:
Overheated the pump and boiled the fluid, running the reservoir dry and shagging the pump.
Had the pump replaced, fresh fluid, and presumed I'd be...
Yes mate, well, technically no. Where the low pressure line changes to a hard pipe for about 12” behind the rad I basically binned off the hard pipe and put my cooler lines in there.
I think I’m going to go for that pump you shared. It’s got the same chance did being shite as the others but...
Ah b*ll*cks. Trying to get it sorted this week. So is eBay recon better?
My head is spinning with options. This is the kind of stuff that's starting to get on my t*ts with the Clio.
Thread bump as I think this is a pretty damn useful thread, and want to keep the info in one place...
Right then, this time last year when I looked there were next to no Nissan pumps out there, however now there are!
A lot of them already have a single piece pulley pressed on, as opposed to a...
