    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

Looking back at how cluttered my old man's garage was when I lived there makes me wonder why he didn't jump for joy when I moved out  2 people's tools, 2 people's hobbies, and one person making mess (me) while the other tidies.

Then, determined to get rid of the sticky interior, I replaced what I could, and for the rest........ Pretty pleased with that! Then I felt like I'd completely lost my marbles and washed my dashboard :ROFLMAO: Nowhere near as fazing as I thought it would be! Pretty easy! Out of the...

I do plan to tart up the engine bay, but it kinda feels a bit pointless when I'm not the type to sit with the bonnet up at shows. Or go to shows. But still, pride in your machine and all that. Not sure where my front badge is in the below pic. Probably being sprayed satin black for the 20th...

I then obtained a set of PMS solid top mounts and strut bar, and new engine mounts (standard gearbox mount, upper Kangoo mount, and Powerflex insert. It's had new callipers since then, don't worry/ Something rings a bell about fitting new dust boots on the shocks too.

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

From approx 2019 I owned a Lexus GS430 as my daily. I was doing low miles and planning on buying a house closer to work, so I was loving the VIP life. I bought it completely standard, and proceeded to ruin it with 19s, coilovers, a full stainless exhaust, induction kit imported from the US, and...

2019, pre-Pandy, cage fitted. I was running no front plate for a while, and then my MOT tester stuck it on the front and I couldn't be bothered moving it. Quick late summer blast out Some proper pics by my mate with a camera! Lots of slow shutter speed motion blur to make the slow...

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

Into 2018 now, I went and bought satin black rattle cans, and a cheap shower curtain, and set to work! Yes, I'm using a vacuum cleaner for overspray removal, Henry was off his tits. Despite this, it actually stunk of paint for weeks afterwards. Ended up leaving it open with a heater in...

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

After being sick of having no room in the garage with the cage sat there, I realised I could just store it in the Clio. I was doing very little mileage in it so it just became storage on wheels. At this point I was still running my sexy false floor I made from scrap wood and the amazingly...

At my old place of work we had a "bring your racecar to work day" Got the tyres mounted up, went for Federal 595RSRs, quote impressed. Artistic lens flare? Or greasy sausage fingers on the lens?... I mean its still pretty pedestrian, its a tiny French hatchback, but I do look how...

I then began the pointless task of weighing all the shite I'd taken out of it (as in interior trim, not just junk I was keeping in it) Then Car Parts Santa turned up and emptied his sack all over my front room: It was one of those glorious ex-display pallets that Rimstock used to...

    Corbeau Pro Sports

That seems like a solution to my "single Clubsport and no available matching ones" conundrum. Just wondering whether it will fit me like the Clubsport XL... Nice new seat for me, older seat moved to the passenger side... Although the non-matching harness holes might drive me crazy. I'm more than...

    Can I convert to 5x114.3

Well he's an outlier, as I've never had any issues when I was running them and never heard of anyone else having that happen. Bear in mind that these are usually 20mm thick minimum, so its calculator time to check fitment. What are the specs of the wheel to start with?

It drove fantastically like this, but did like to snatch the wheel out of your hands over uneven ground/potholes. I did a couple of Sunday B-road blasts with friends with it like this, then my daily got crashed into so the camber had to get set back to more normal settings.

    Coilovers Back to Springs?

For me, I don't have enough skill, trackdays planned, or free cash to splurge on ASTs. Especially with the upkeep they need. That said, the pricing makes you think... Grams springs are £144 If you were to pair them with Koni Yellows (at £644) thats £788 BC Racing coilovers are £1000-£1200 Gaz...

    Coilovers Back to Springs?

Asking here rather than making a new thread - has anyone compared Cup shocks with the Koni adjustables? I've done perhaps 10,000 miles since replacing the cup shocks and am looking to get the Grams springs. Wondering whether to go for the Koni's from Kam Racing whilst I've got it in bits...

In the meantime I also binned off the carbon canister, the foglight, the headlight washers (sssh don't tell VOSA) and relocated the horn. Now I'm not an expert in vehicle horns, but the existing horn was a twin tone one. I moved the bracket, bent it out of the way, and screwed it down tight. I...

The Skoda Fabia splitter seemed like a correct choice, seeing as I'd be smashing it off the drive most of the time. The paint dried on the crasher (like that's important lol)

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

Still in 2017 Whilst they are a decent looking car in standard form, compared to lower Clio models, a few too many drives out with mates with 350Z, C63AMG, Porsche Cayman etc made me want it to look a little more aggressive, or "played with". Cue, pointless visual modifications...

    Jim's Black Ph2 172 (Just like everyone else's!)

I went through a spell of using axle stands on the subframe to support it, and then realised I could take the axle stand "seat" out of the body so I didn't need to jack it as high (i.e. higher than my jack went, so had to use two and blocks of wood). Neatly fits there! But then I wasn't sure...

Power Steering Pump: How Loud is Too Loud?...

That's tempting. How much room is there nearby when the pump is still in the car? Car is at my dad's so haven't got it here to look at. Tempted to go the simplest way though and just use a jubilee clip onto a reducer.

    Bolt help

To be honest I hit a quiet spell yesterday afternoon and got purchasing to try and source these. Couldn't find anyone with any stock or source for these unfortunately. I didn't try Bapp as they're a competitor of ours locally, may be worth a try in your Donny branch.
