For the non FB people amongst us its a 3 part itv4 documentary looking back over the years of the BTCC.
First part starts February 5th 8pm itv4...
I would be better reading a Japanese encyclopedia it would make more sense than that book, I just look at the pictures. :)
Don't cut the pull handle fixings where the tapered head long 6mm bolt goes when you do it Fraser, it will make it easier.
Getting there Gaz, is your rear arch stay made up of two pieces of CDS?
Doors are in my list of to do when I'm home, you shure you don't want some FG doors? I bought them and not allowed to run them in SMRC
You going to higthen it some, looks like it needs it.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the Clio shafts are pretty good from what I have seen, they seem to be better than most other cars. Something Renault got right.
You see a lot of folk requesting new shafts now but a lot of these cars are up to 100-150k which is pretty good afaik.
I know I...
Re: Team Djw's Dedicated Track Toy Project
Looks good. What colour is it going lads?
Was the ph1 front end much to do, bits grounded off, pieces welded on?
A few millimetres (naff all) different in length from the the research I done ages ago. I have a feeling they're the same shaft as with most manufactures parts are shared and brought forward to new models 'if it ain't broke why fix it'
They are the longest 23 spline inside/outside shafts...
Are you sure, Adam quoted me that unless he got mixed up with the actual housing.
How much are they out if interest Marc, I could be doing with another?
Jesus!!!!!! Check you haven't mixed oil and water also as there is both oil and water galleries sealed by the thermostat housing. Iirc that gasket is something stupid like £35
I hope I'm wrong as its ideal but I seem to remember it needing to be tubing and from the sill to the exhaust/gearbox tunnel. Motorsport UK and Demon Tweeks sell the kits.
I couldnt say where in that bloody book, I try not to look at it. I just ask scruts and keep my eyes open at Knockhill.
That's a real simple idea Gaz, I don't think it will ever pass for any MSA event, the seat fixings have to be tubes of a certain wall thickness and CDS iirc.
Good stuff on the loom but are you putting a test on it. you'll need a working h/brake light.
Go easy on the the seat rails, you will be left with Swiss cheese for a floor, try get an extra long spot weld cutter too and it will be easy. I would advise to get motorsport-uk seat rails as they...
I know it goes tight mate and that the selector rod fits through the lever fine.
As said sand/file down the bush so essentially its making the bolt longer. Job jobbed.
Also my bush came in two half's iirc?
Yeah I can't help but they're spacious as said, a lot smaller step inside than F1's and 2118's have. The spoke bows out too to accommodate the calliper with big offsets.
My mate has 305mm disks and ap 5110's iirc with somewhere around an et30 offset. Look the b****cks on his mk1 golf but I'm not sure they would on a Clio, nor your later choice.
ATS cups are spacious.
EDIT: OP, I tried a few and with your offset (if all 2118's have the same inside profile) you would get away with 10mm spacers, probably best to get 16mm as they're the smallest hubcentrics to fit iirc.

I agree with this having totally refreshed my last track cup suspension and steering wise with Eibach sportlines, RARB and an aggressive geo along with all new steering and suspension consumables at once.
Although it was fun and playful and easy to control when it slid you soon find its limits...
