I think Harry's lap timer is fairly accurate. Remember we never had a run that lasted more than 3 corners (whey) when I was by myself. The Minis dip into the 62's but that's corner commitment (cutting) more than anything, you would have probably seen the straight line difference between you and...
Yeah they're alright, not sure how long they would last mind you.
Eh, pot kettle. You know the score.
Yeah that was just the worst of the driving from the day, with Gaz up my chuff I was pushing a bit too hard after the 10 or so laps I had already done. There is better vids.
62's are...
Yeah powder coat can be deadly on the mating face and taper for the bolts.
Thats that small fail video public now. You can see I don't get 3rd and the lack of retardation makes me jump onto the brakes with the lack of confidence in them causing a lock up.
That sounds fair enough what Evogone has said but that doesn't bring into account the European wheels with embossed logos on the face which are not magnesium and are circa 7kg.
The magnesium 2020's are something like 4-5kg as martijnk has a set on his cup racer.
Yup its definitely a nippy one, mine seemed to have the legs on the straights when I was on my own, you can just see you disappearing in the mirror in that video I uploaded but not a massive amount in it.
They can be fiddly c**ts of things , you can choose what quality it uploads to YT, don't...
Yeah its good I was just underwhelmed by the day, mostly to do with the people on track and being black flagged for clipping a cone that was basically on the track and then for spinning.
Plenty of things to play with though for next time :)
I didn't take your answer as blunt about the brakes btw Russ.
I think Danny might be hinting towards the routing of the belt needed and the 6 rib would rub on the lower plastic timing cover. The 5-rib fitted to the outmost grooves would not.
Well today was pretty poop for me, despite breaking my PB lap after lap the car just wasn't confidence inspiring to drive. Between the brakes going off after circa 5-6 laps, my bad driving at times, studs working their way loose at the hub a few times, the exhaust and box knocking like a c**t...
Looks good, the black bushes will last better too.
No worries, was looking for one today, might get something at Halfords if I'm lucky on the way down.
Time me to get going
Are you wanting some part worn 15" a048-r? I could bring a set down.
Cheers, if it doesn't behave tomorrow expect my toys to be thrown well clear of the pram.
Plan to be there around 10:30 ish Gaz, got a few mates going down too in their Westfield, Sapphire, FRS.
I will rinse a full tank...
Looking good Gaz, my racer will only be circa 220 bhp for a start. As soon as you turbo it though you won't be racing me ;). Different class!
What RARB is that, never seen them with black bushes.
You out wouldn't have anymore sun strip material do you, I have Adam bringing me a TS one down...
So it is ;). I have never seen directions on any of the belts yet, only seen gates and genuine though.
Your pedal never gets deeper and deeper the more you drive? I don't like that in a pedal, I like it to be right there when you want it. I'm sorry but nobody will convince me these single...
Today was a total c**t, just sat down now :sleepy:
Last night i tried my track wheels with semis fitted only for them to catch on the rear shock and on the adjuster rings on the front.... Nightmare. I had some 10mm spacers knocking about but they need the hub spigots ground down.
Today...
Yeah mike, I don't know if you do any tracks with hairpins from 100mph, it soon does the brakes in. Hopefully the fogs out and diffuser plates are enough so I can fully enjoy the day.
Same I have an Eonon DVD/TV/SatNav double din head unit (pretty cheap I believe) in my Jeep and it has been really handy when stuck in traffic or waiting on anyone. Mine is only trustworthy below 25-30mph when in the move.
Yes I was Mike is that not normal? ;)
I'm not saying they're totally faded after 2 miles but they're lacking in performance, they just don't offer a consistent pedal that I look for and if i was to brake where I wanted every corner they would be dead.
Tenner bets I need new discs and pads...
Cheers
DS2500's and some quality Scottish back roads. Yet again I don't think the standard callipers are up to anything, they just don't offer any comfort.
Last few snagging and some unexpected too.
The breather tank was against the battery so I fly ended down the bolts and added cushion so I don't end up with battery acid everywhere.
Used some industrial Velcro to stick the ballasts and tidied the wiring away.
Made up a heat shield for...
Yeah its nice and good quality too.

Yeah its getting there, it still needs the geo playing with now I have my own rig and a full bufty with the machine polisher but its a really tidy car now
So pretty much the last push before my track day.
I waited in until I got my tank delivered this afternoon.
It comes a two port tank.
So I ordered another plug to make it a one port, the cap is the breather.
I then spent a couple of hours tidying up the messy wiring and running it all...
Yeah I have seen the silicone and all sorts in the strainers when engine's fail on here, it wasn't to excessive but the pic makes it look worse I think. Very little was squashed to the outside. Maybe it all went inside :quiet:
